Looking for 355 Clear Turn signals

If I remember correctly, the clear lenses use a special euro-bulb where the locating pins on the sides of the bulb aren't 180 degrees from each other.

Great prices from Superperformance. I'm pretty sure I paid over $400 for mine.

 

For those who have already received their Superperformance order, did the lights come with bulbs? Are the bulbs the same as US standards or are they something that I will have trouble finding replacements for?

 

Ordered two set from Superperformance and they charged me for them. Then I got an e-mail saying they were "out of stock". The bad thing is when they credit me I will still be charged something due to the currency conversion. So either they really are out of stock or they picked up on the price differential. Just a heads up.

 

I also just received the "Out of Stock" message from them however they had not charged my card. They indicated to check back in a few months to see if available.

I guess that we all won't be running around with the clear lights, just those lucky few that ordered early.

 

Seeing that it is the same parts number, just a higher price, I wonder if they are out of the 355 lights as well.

I sent them a response asking if they will honor the price when they are back in stock. Waiting on a response.

 

Just received mine today.....sorry all, I feel bad that they are now outof stock. My experience with Superperformance was great. Ordered last weekend, got an e-mail on Monday confirming the total price with shipping, got an e-mail on Tuesday confirming that it shipped along with a tracking number, and it arrived today. Haven't had a chance to inspect the bulbs. I would bet they really are out of stock on these units as the historical demand was probably quite low and there'd be no reason (other than this thread!) to keep a large quantity on hand.

 

I'm sure that there isn't much demand for an actual 512 but as it's the same parts as the 355 I would think that they keep some in stock. I wonder if they have made the part connection between the two cars and their pricing difference. Someone who really wants these but isn't concerned on the price should attempt to order them as a 355 part and see if they still have those in stock. They still have them listed under the 355 parts section.

 

In an attempt to make you feel better, I'll let you sell me yours at the same cost.

 

+1 Dave...but if you want clear, I once heard rumors to watch Ebay in Europe, cause the guys over they want amber, then Ebay their clear ones...go figure!

 

If that's true, I've got 2 sets of amber lenses I will be putting on eBay.

I would think they are simply out of stock IMO. If they wanted to raise the price I would think they would just do that and still be eager to take the order, rather than telling you to check back in a couple months.

 

Prosport, also in the U.K., has them listed for ~£50.

Anyone know how to contact Prosport and if they are legitimate? Their "Contact Us" does not work on their web site, the pricing from their web page to the shopping cart changes and there is some =Important Note= about logging on to PayPay before placing your order which does not work.

Either they are having problems with their web site or there is something fishy going on.

Anyone ordered from them before?

 

I got the Superperformance (uk) 512 versions and installed them. The left one (sitting in the driver seat) fit perfectly and took 30 seconds. The right one took at least 30 minutes but it wasn't the lens. The car's angle that it needed to receive the screw was slightly lowered than it should have been so I had to cut the two small "tabs" off the bottom of the lens to get that angle.

The Prosport pricing at 50+/- GBP is an old price and no longer valid. Their price is now 97 GBP or roughly $150 each.

 

I see that Superperformance UK now has the clear lights for the 512M "back in stock" however now they have raised the price to just under 98 GBP which is the exact same price as for the F355. I think the suspicions were correct in that the noticed that they were selling a lot of 512 lights and noticed that it was the same part number.

 

I received a response back from Superperformance UK that they will not honor the price that was on my original order for the clear lights that they cancelled. New price is double.

 

that sucks!!!

 

How is everyone doing with their clear turn signals? Anyone come up with another lead for a deal on them since Superperformance UK will not longer honor the lower price.
