I'm going to assume that Bottas/Williams was on a wet set up. Ferrari and Merc had the quickest pace in dry conditions, but Merc is known to struggle with tire wear in race conditions.
Great comparison shot of the RB9 and W04. Brawn has out-Newey'd Newey with the aero on W04. Image Unavailable, Please Login
In the dry no one was close to Ferrari as far as full tank pace was concerned. Merc was very average lapping a good couple tenths+ slower than Ferrari. Tire wear looked better than normally for Merc on Friday though.
Hamilton sounds a little more confident of their race pace in Canada though. Perhaps it's confidence based on his history at the track versus tire wear improvement?
Hey I certainly hope you're right. Brawn stated he wanted 10C less rear tire heat temp to AMuS the other day. Hoping they've got that figured out
They did a complete breakdown on the tire choices early in the pre-race show. Nobody wants to cover Kimi's penalty because it's so ludicrous.
They talked about switching to inters and wets not about what anyone's running today. Silly or not the penalty is news.
Bottles will be THE wildcard at the start. I somehow have the feeling that he will cause quite a bit of trouble.
