Just when I thought my car was ready for the PA trip, I notice the primary radiator fan does not turn on.

I checked current with my electric tester, and there is no power at the fan connector. I removed the fuse box cover and discover the fuse has blown. Replace with new one, and it also blows as soon as fan turns on. What would cause this? Bad fan? Relay switch?

I just got back from shop and have not driven car much. Any suggestions? Would like to fix myself and not take back to mechanic.....

Ok. I think I found the problem. The fan blades do not turn properly. The fan blades hit the fan shroud, and the fan wobbles..... See gap at base of fan blades where it connect to motor. It goes from narrow to wide.....

Looks like I need to order a fan. Sometimes we need to think of the simplest items. I was afraid it was the fuse box, but did not see any burn marks.

So, if you guys have fan problems, make sure the fan does not wobble or blades/assembly not warped.
