I'll be in Houston July 7 with an entire day to kill. (Conference the rest of the week).
What to do downtown, or alternatively, I'll have my clubs with me.....If I were to rent a car, what is a reasonable "Must Play" golf course in the area?

    TIA,

    JIM

Check back with me later because I may be out of town. But if I'm here, I can bring you up to The Woodlands where they have some great courses. (But you must have an early tee time. 9:00am is too late.)

Downtown has the museum district, which is great if you are into that. If the Astros are in town, you can go to a game really, really cheep. If you like to eat, Houston is great expense account town. You can tour NASA if you like that kind of thing. Because it is a Sunday, Ferrari of Houston will be closed. I don't know if there is anything going on at MSR-Houston that day.

I'm sure others will chime in.

PS Whatever you do, don't go to Galveston.

Horseshoe Bay Resort in Marble Falls is a must play. Like $158 gets you unlimited golf and range balls on their 3 courses? Add 40 bucks and you get a hotel room too I think?

Seeing how Marble Falls is 200 miles and 3.5 hours away from Houston, you'll pay that for gas alone.
