Hi Gary, Philippe = yes Espada = no I would had love to do it, also to park it besides it's sister car (Bob's car..) and yours .. Peter, are you bringing your Jarama or Countach? Philippe S2 7987
Espada Gods Upon returning home today fro a spirited drive noticed a small squeal up front. Opened the bonnet to find both AC compressor belts shredded ???? don't care about the compressor much as I never use the AC but how would I tell with engine off if its ceased up maybe? Also this tells me I should be buying those 2 belts PLUS a new ALT belt plus maybe spares . If you had to buy what #s and brand would you use to ensure correctness and where would you go first to obtain ? thanks In advance ... Gary #8394 (eurospec S2 if that makes a diff?) P.S anyone have a diagram showing proper placement as exploded views in parts book are kind of unclear....
Hi Gary, I am not saying these are the best fit for yours...but they work on my S3 (American market) Gates "Hi Power II A35 for the A/C belts. Bob Huber
Gary, can you stick your arm in there and turn the compressor pulley? If it doesn't move, it seized. If it spins, possibly the clutch on it is bad which I think you can tell if the car is running with a belt on it while a/c is "on". Or the belts were old (?)
I can not make it this year. Bummed. But you guys are ALWAYS invited to our Lamborghini show (140 Ferrari and Lambos etc, 10,000 spectators): Home Page
Peter Thanks all belts were new 3 years ago.... I will look at the car again tonight or tomorrow to check if ceased but kinda bummed you wont be at le belle macchine as I have been bragging to the boys going about your Countach !! Oh well always next year!! Gary Espada 8394
A few other things we have found: The 'hole' for the gear lever is in a quite markedly different position and appears as if the 'manual' hole has been welded ; There is no bracket behind the dash for the Clutch slave cylinder; The transmission tunnel is much wider at the front, but bizarrely narrower at the rear? The brackets to support the transmissions are in very different locations. In short the floor pans are quite different. When I find out more I will post. Anyone any experience of this? Regards

Me with my old S11, I sold to Tonino & Fabio Lamborghini, now in the Museo at Dosso. https://www.ferrarichat.com/forum/attachment.php?attachmentid=1725893&stc=1&d=1371307579 Image Unavailable, Please Login
I saw on the web the black body of this Espada outside the Dosso musuem. Does someone know where it is now ?
This was a black car when sold and in need of work...do you remember the year or are you saying they have done the body also which is on display now?
I almost spit my coffee when I read this. To say the price ask is optimistic is the understatement of a lifetime, so I won't say it. For the record: 1971 Lamborghini Espada series II GTE 370,000 USD - Asking Price
thanks Philippe, this is the kind of picture I got in mind. Is this body now being parted out and only chassis #8888 remaining in Dosso's museum ?
If I parked my Espada in Newark it could look just like than in under an hour ... OK maybe not the color ...
Does someone have a espada S3 with original "champanger" leather interior? I need photos of the interior especially the original carpets and the piping. My carpets are not original and i want to see how is the original colour. Where can i buy the rubber for the front-driver and passenger side from the carpets? I need also the measures where the rubber is located. I need also a high quality pictures of the original alcantara dasboard and the glovebox. I hope someone can help me. PS. Is there someone who has a parts-car or many parts? Best Regards Leo
I discover an old Belgian Calandres magazine featuring an Espada SIII belonging to the editor, Patrice de Bruyn, it is #9806 delivered new in Belgium to Hollebecq importer back in october 1976, but it was "luci di bosco/senape" instead of Argento like it is in the article.
