    Hey guys.

    I just bought a 1990 928 S4 and while its in great shape and the major items like timing belts, water pump, etc have been addressed by the previous owner, Id still like to send it into the shop for a once over.

    Anyone recommend a Porsche shop (SFV would be awesome) that really knows the 928 ?

    You might try Mike Schatz at MKS Performance in Camarillo. 805-322-8077. He always has a shop full of cool and unusual Porsches.

    Here in the valley are Marco & Tony Gerace at TLG Auto. 818-982-7610. Their focus tends to be early 911s and 356s.

    Hope that helps. I honestly can't remember the last time I saw a 928 in a shop.

    Sweet ride, Jerry. Love those things. Very ahead of its time and not very Porsche at all, well, at the time. The car that influenced the Corvette to remain front engined in the C4. Unfortunately the repairs on these can get really pricey and the collector value is, well, spotty?

    I'd love to have a nice example in the garage anyway. :)

    Robert Hohler at R2 Racing in Canyon Country

    Both have worked on my previous 928S4. I recommend them both.
    I would use them again .

    Jerry, try calling Mark at 928 International in Anaheim and see who he recommends. Mark's company is well known as a 928 parts supplier, so he should have some contacts at independent repair facilities.

    Mike is a master on both old and new Porsche's. And yes, he always has some cool stuff in his shop!

    I second Greg Brown At Precision Motorworks.
    He did extensive service on my 928GTS and I was very impressed with his level of expertise on the 928. I was referred to him from the Rennlist forums as the best in the country.
    I concur. He is a perfectionist
