I agree, a GTB, except for "most beautiful" I'd have to have Euro bumpers.

The giant US bumpers, and esp. the "fully loaded" rear diaper, really detract from the beauty of the car, to my eyes.

The Euro version GTB = automotive visual perfection!

More beautiful if you don't open the engine compartment...

I like the black 308 at Ferrari of Denver. Maybe I'm partial to black cars, but it looks nearer to stock and someone just dropped $20K having the engine removed and resealed.

It's doable on US cars, and yes the look is just pants. The best.

Below is my car after I installed Euro bumper on my US '76. Not the greatest lighting, but you get the idea. Looks just fabulous and saves about a hundred lbs.

We rarely see finely restored US Dino's with anything other than the nice fine bumperettes on either side now, never any cross members these days, looks off.

Yes, Very nice, pity about the overspray everywhere......radiator!
Obviously a paint job and refurb to the leather.
Sadly the engine bay and trunk area tell the story of a previously neglected car?

It looks good in the pictures, I don't care for the mirrors.

So with those wheels (what brand?) we can install a big brake kit?

Nice as it just made me raise the price of mine. I wonder how they cracked the AC bracket.

The mirrors look like they are different sizes, is that the way they are supposed to be? Nice car, I agree that the engine bay says a lot.

I don't love the mirrors or the non-stock steering wheel.

That is a great looking 308, of purest examples and carbureted. Kneejerk impulse tells me put a holding deposit on it and sell my GTS, I'll cool of however and better sense will prevail.

On second look off steering wheel and aftermarket wheels would give long pause to think.

Now that's the way one should look! Fine with the American version front - the way this old codger bumps wheelstops with metal below, a euro one would be gone in no time.

Strange mirrors, ugly steering wheel, engine is far below the rest of the car in appearance. I really hope it sells at this price because the car is really not that good!

So funny that someone posts they think a car is beautiful or the best looking in their eyes and all people do is start ragging on it.

For all the good on this site, there is a lot more negative than other car sites.......

I actually think that looks like a decent car.

The wheels and brake kit would have been expensive. If you didn't like them you could put them on Ebay, with the proceeds go and buy all new wheels, tyres and brakes and still have money left over.

Yup the mirrors are dreadful but for less than US$ 100.00 you can get a brand new pair of Vitaloni California's and buy the silence of this forum!

The prices of 308's in the USA are lagging those in Europe, which may cause my opinion to differ to many on here. Take a look at these ads:
Used Ferrari 308 cars for sale with PistonHeads
Work on an exchange rate of 1.57 and US$ 45,000 doesn't get you a 308 GTB or GTS

You'll have to forgive them. Most aren't taking their medicine like they should. On the otherhand, if I were the one pitching the car out there for review, I would appreciate the critique. The broken a/c bracket is instructive, and something a novice might miss. Before I bought my 308, I chummed these waters with a few photos and it was quite helpful.

So until the patients here are more compliant with their dosing instructions, let's roll with it!

Unfortunately the Electromotive is not legal in California (at least when it comes time for the smog check). Not that most smog techs would know whats supposed to be there but they are having to be a lot more thorough with the new "Star" system. Hopefully they kept the distributors....

Thanks all for the input. I appreciate all the insight people bring to ones opinions on the site. Best thing to keep is an open mind to what everyone has to say and not take anything personal. Some people seem to have very pointed opinions on everything but it opens my eyes to look at things in a new light. All in all I still find this car gorgeous. Ferrari pilot your car looks great. Thanks for posting up the pics.
