Okay, this one's for you Dan.

Saw an Aston yesterday around 4:45pm on I-90 heading East. I pulled on at 83, and just as I was merging onto the highway, it went by, at about 85mph. It was too sudden for me to have a quick reaction with the camera, and by the time I could try for a shot, it was too far ahead and I couldn't get the long distance focus I needed. And I was doing about 83mph at this point in time in my old '96 F-150, pushing the revs in the little straight 6 to their limit in 4th (Overdrive would have just slowed me down.) If only the guy was going a more reasonable 75-80mph...

Color? A lightish color, tan or beige, with a hint of grey, maybe 30%-40% color saturation (not too light, but definitely not dark.) Not the same grey color I've seen on a number of Astons before. And, IIRC, it had the same rear setup as like the V8 Vantage S or V12 Vantage, quite striking color combo from the light beige-ish of the body to the charcoal black of the exhaust/rear effects bits. So either of those would be my first guess. But I'm wondering if you know the car I'm talking about or could guess to give me a better idea.

Also saw a yellow Caterham 7 on Lorain between Columbia and Clague, big shock! And a light blue(?) Bentley Flying Spur on 83 north of 90.

Jeff, I do not know of that Aston! Could very well be the elusive gray V12 Vantage that lives out here on the westside (I haven't seen it yet).

haha I was talking to the owner there in white. He also has the racing version with the big wing in white. Lives in Indian Hill no less. The only major one besides 4 e30 M3s and an original m5 was this 1M.

hey, a new guy!

and, anybody going to any good car shows this weekend? I know of one Sat at a park on Dover Center, and another on Sunday at the German center on Columbia down by Olmstead falls.

I'll feel a lot better showing up at events like this now that I'm no longer arriving in a '96 F-150. Now my ride is a Z31 Fairlady!

 

Though not technically a car "show," there will be a Cars and Coffee event at Studio 47 in New Albany this weekend. I'm not able to attend.

 

Mershon's is also having a cars & coffee event in Springfield on saturday, from 9-12. I'll probably stop by that one & the Studio47 show

 

Cleveland C&C is this Saturday, weather looks good. Also, the Stan Hywet show is this Sunday in Akron, and the Ferrari meet in Little Italy is next Sunday!
