    Guys,

I have done a few searches but wanted top see if anyone has tried anything different lately regarding wheel spacers setup on a f430 with stock wheels/tires?

I am going to lower the stock ride height a slight amount on my 08 f430, probably 3/4 inch on the stock coilovers.

I would like to add wheel spacers but do not want to get too aggressive, just a subtle clean look...

    Novitec does 15mm spacers
    Hill Engineering has 11mm spacers
    H&R has 10mm spacers

Anyone done this, any issues with handling, steering feel? Have any pics?

    Thanks!

I've been contemplating this as well though my 430 is on Scud wheels

I am looking at this setup for a subtle yet cosmetic improvement for my f430 coupe...

    22mm drop on factory coilovers
10mm Novitec spacers ( I just researched and noticed they have 10mm and 15mm)

I have done a lot of searching and most f430's I have seen have done 15mm wheel spacers all the way around but I think 10mm is plenty.

If anyone has any experience positive or negative with a similar setup please chime in

I have 2 cm spacers on back wheels but not on the front ones, anyway my Ferrari dealer told me spacers are not healthy for the car

I purchased the Novitec 10mm spacers today to run with my stock 19" wheels and tires. Novitec makes great products and though not cheap in price, you never regret buying quality. This kit also comes with proper sized chromed lugs to fit on the car.

I am not looking to be too aggressive with these spacers so 10mm is plenty for my tastes. Others have used 15mm and even larger but I am not after the flush look, I just want the wheels to look natural in the wheel wheels and not tucked in too much after the lowering is done. I plan to drop the ride height of the car approx 22mm next week, add the spacers and get a cleaner, more sporty look without sacrificing ride, handling or steering feel etc. I am also getting skid plates installed for extra protection under the front chin. In addition I am doing an alignment to make sure everything is in check.

I will take some pics after completed

I agree with you but I would suggest also the novitec springs- you will get better handling and better ability to adjust the stance/ ride height. Be sure to do an alignment after you lower the car.

The 430 Novitec springs lower the car approx 30mm or 1 1/8". To me that is too much, I will scrape all over the place and its too aggressive for what I am trying to achieve. With the factory setup I can drop the car 20-22mm and get a better look than stock and not sacrifice the cars feel. I am told adjusting the stock setup to no more than 24mm all the way around should be a non issue.

Hopefully the spacers will give a more lowered stance to the car as well.

I will be sure to get an alignment

The Novitec springs are adjustable when you install them. Novitec says 30mm drop but really you can set them anywhere from stock to 40mm lower so if you want just 20mm then have your installer set them to that height. This then allows you to lower the car with a better spring than factory and it better on the shocks than lowering with the factory springs.

I am only dropping ride height 22mm. The factory coilovers will be fine. If I were dropping the car an inch or more I would do new springs.

I believe if you really get on it the factory springs will let you down. They are constant rate compression, the novitec are variable rate. You will be better off with the novitec. Speaking from experience. Im sure the car will look amazing. The factory track is too narrow. It will also feel a lot better.

Lowering the car any more than 22mm (3/4") is a big mistake IMO and I know from experience. Euro ride height is 22mm lower than US standard. It is the perfect look for the 430 but I scrape the bottom many more times than I would like.

I thought I had lost the front bumper after running up on a highway construction zone recently. Literally no warning at 40 mph in heavy traffic.

I used the stock springs . It works great. I don't notice any change in ride or handling. If anything , its better.
