So much for the Scottish mail service.

Word has reached me that your errant magazine was mistakenly diverted to Tibet, and a further delay was caused by the fact that Yak service in the Himalayas has been suspended due to the local mating season. That said, the United States Postal Service have finally advised me to standby as it will be delivered to me any moment. The kind gentleman who called apologized that it would have been here yesterday, but everyone in the local office wanted to read it first.

This is the first Countach we are bringing into the USA for a number of years. Of the eight (8) cars we sold last year, six (6) stayed in the USA and 2 went abroad.

Just to clarify, 1121206 is under contract, whilst due diligence and completion are pending.

A Countach in original silver paint that has been serviced in the early years by the factory is a special thing nowadays, and someone just had to have this very original example.

The buyer is a private man so there are no plans to show it anywhere, but perhaps he will share details of the transaction and the story after he gets his car safely home.

I think this potential USA import could be the beginning of the turning of the tide for these cars.

This car is 33 years old.

Naturally, securing the services of a competent shipper such as www.cosdel.com to satisfy all importation requirements such as bonding, duty, EPA/DOT exemptions etc is part of the process.

One proviso though is that alterations would need to be performed to make it SMOG legal in California.

But, its not going to California.
