Does not make sense to throw $5m at this car. Buy a P1, a La Ferrari park it in Europe and still have close to $2 million in change. Probably paying at least $40K just on insurance. With Motorway the agent, i hope the car does not have any problems as i don't think they have a strong technical team here.

Its all about being able to inflate the ego with the price tag i think!! No offence but buying an exotic car in sgp is more of a status thing, on top of the thrill of driving it!

Car package comes with servicing from the factory and any and all repairs also from the factory. Each service requires that the factory technicians come down. If you can afford it why not.

Car will be used in Singapore and there will be some mileage put on it. Owner does not worry about using his cars and it will not be a garage queen.

If he can afford it I say why not. Heck even a Honda civic demands unreasonable money here. For me driving an exotic here is better than anywhere else in the world because there is low fear of vandalism and robbery. High cost to entry just makes people appreciate them more.

I can't afford to to play the game any more but am just thankful I can still drive an exotic (even if it's now a passé model) in a country where I still believe an exotic commands much more respect and less tall poppy syndrome than other places... And that's what so many exotic car owners buy the cars for...to be howlian. So why do it in the US or Australia where you could never drive without fear and where there is nothing comparable to the north south highway or sepang to exercise it. I think there are not many exotic car owners internationally that have been able to push their cars any where near as much as us Singapore exotic car owners have been able to.

The offers were not forthcoming mate... And decided if I sold it the loss wasn't worth it and I would never own another exotic, so may as well just keep it. Was offered on a trade in on the white mp4/12c (actually belongs to my mate that bought the egg) as it found its way to motorway as part exchange on the egg but that also meant a huge hit on depreciation, and I'm not interested in putting anymore cash on exotics. The offers were actually hot on the number plate but the car got zero. May yet just sell the plate as I have another plate in cold storage that was cheaper and I like enough that used to be on my Evo and GTR hahaha.

Ahhhh...market is that bad? Thought the "wow" factor would be enticing enough at that price.. :/
On a side note, i still do not understand the fascination of number plates......

Depreciation on a lambo is pretty bad and though i like them, i have stayed away as it's too painful. You should have bought a 458 when it was new and you would be a lot better off. I lost 10% when i sold my 458. With the new ARF, more pain will be coming our way if we buy new cars. That sort of motivated me to pick up the spider, at least i can have a nice ride perhaps for the next two years. I may give up owning an exotic after that as i don't fancy paying at least $200,000 per year just to have the pleasure of owning an exotic.
