+1 I've finally woken up to this after all the losses on cars nearly bankrupted me all our losses are drained by finance, dealers & govt taxes. Oh & our dramatic insurance cost too. To be honest, I'm not looking up to those who splash so much money on supercars over here now because for the same or much lesser you can have the exact car with a lot of freebies thrown in elsewhere & the world is much smaller today than it was. I haven't seen several new models from a lot of brands in Singapore lately but already on the roads in KL so our COE & new ARF must be working it's magic. But the situation in Italy is worse. Tax authorities are coming so hard on them that you virtually don't see any medium sized saloons of less than 5years old! Everything's a hatchback or small old cars. It's true that we're very fortunate to have an Autobahn in our backyard. Many of our friends in US, NZ, Australia, UK & most parts of EU cannot speed above 100mph without facing serious charges or have their cars confiscated & they have vast lands with low cost of cars. Was also told that the French traffic police can sometimes warm-up to an angpow but definitely not Rm50 Well, it really depends on where you own & drive these exotics. Was just sharing with brothers that Singapore's environment is relatively safe & low rates of crime makes people feel @ home. You can happily drive your softop out anywhere on the island, women can go out alone @ night, no worries of taking taxis alone & leave your kids running around from sight. All these are privileges NOT available in Malaysia & some countries but we do pay for it here

I have a r8 that i put on market to sell to make room for new toy. R8 is great car. Much more civilized that other exotics. But then I guess i'm bias. Jon- just additional motivation to make more money. This $5mn+ for agera is insanely impressive.

You need insanely wealthy people to pay that kind of money for that kind of car. I doubt many of those exist in SG. Even wealthy enthusiast weigh the value of such an acquisition. If you compare the level of engineering that goes into a LaFerrari relative to an Agera then the LF at US$1.35mn is a bargain
Hey Chris did you pick up that Dino? Was told its sold. To be honest even I'm itching to get an R8 or Cayman for B roads in Malaysia. They're about mid Rm300k & on the other spectrum, S$5mil for any modern cars in Singapore is OTT even for a Veyron. I'm quite sure our dear friend didn't pay that much for it since it was registered to beat the new system. That said, we must poison him to do some proper rallies like Gumball 3000
Hey did you get the LF? Our bro is squeezing his balls now for throwing away the opportunity. One of my client in NZ ordered one & is offloading some cars which might include an F50 & Daytona. Speaking of LaFerrari, I'm surprised that its virtually not discussed in our thread & didn't stir as much as the Enzo when it was launched or did I miss something?
LF being LHD is not coming to SG so not much to discuss. neither is P1 nor 918. At current tax rates the LF will be a $5mn+ car. Those hypercars are discuss elsewhere on this forum. We tend to spend more time moaning about the moronic govt policies.
