    it looks a 5000s and not a 400S from the interior
    it is missing the window handle as well as the air pipes that go on the airboxes. minor things

    worth to take a good look
    the wheels are not all the same brand (rear looks a Campagnolo with an OZ sticker)

    Generally speaking, the Feds are interested if you break the law and simply don't care about bringing the vehicle into conformity. Just don't break the law! Clearly, its not too difficult to establish what the rules are if you are prepared to make the effort. At this point, ANY variant of Countach is old enough to come into the USA via the proper channels.

    Is there an easy way of determining whether a (rear wheel) rim is Campagnolo or OZ? I've seen different valve placements, but is this a give-away? Any tips appreciated.

    Doesn't the Campagnolo have more magnesium in it, and the rear side of the mounting face should be more 'flat' as well?

    I have been told yours is a Compagnolo wheel, with the above mentioned things...

    EDIT: Sorry, it's RE: the metallic gold coloured LP400 that crashed back in the 70's on its way to a motor show.
