Thank you! Yes, I've been convinced this is a keeper. It was the process of creating the marketing for it that reminded me of how nice it is. That, combined with a bunch of random lowball wholesale offers that annoyed me, made me realize the bluebird of happiness has been perched in my garage all along!

 

My offer of $7,950 plus a skateboard signed by Steve-O was quite serious, I'll have you know.

 

Funny you say that, I made up my mind to sell my 308 and posted it here but when I tried to put together an eBay listing, it just made me too sad to hit submit..... So now it's sort of for sale but mostly not. I may yet sell it sometime, but for now I'm just enjoying it.

 

Oh, and I took it to the grocery store today as well!

That's how you know you have a good one. When it comes time to sell and you realize either that you can't, or that other cars wouldn't necessarily be better, just different

 

The cart guy at the market in MA once commented that he couldn't believe I'd drive my 328 to the supermarket.

I told him I'd park with a minivan uphill to block the runaway carts,
... and I could be in and out with all the groceries that I could fit in a 328 in the time it'd take the soccer mom to herd the kids through a non-express checkout lane, so the cars around me likely wouldn't have moved when I got back.

I'm surprised you carry groceries on the upholstery. The refrigerated items tend to condense moisture from the air. And there's space in the front and rear cargo areas.

But I learned: Don't carry ice cream in the rear storage bay.


Surprisingly, when I bought it, the 328 was the most replaceable car I owned.
The Alfa was a 20 year old one-owner, and the Celica GT-Four was made in even fewer numbers than the 328.
I tell people the 328 is the "Camry" of Ferraris.

I drive my 360 to the grocery all the time. Here in Italy our grocery carts are tethered in covered storage racks. When you insert one Euro (a buck thirty) the tether is released. When you return the cart to the rack and tether it, you get your Euro back. Consequently there are ZERO carts left in the grocery store parking lot. That helps a lot.

We also have the Guardia di Finanza (financial cops) who stop anyone driving a fancy car and connect your car registration to your income tax return. So driving a Ferrari in Italy these days is the functional equivalent of turning yourself in to the American IRS and asking for an audit. Therefore, seeing nice cars on the highway, in these days of austerity, is an exceedingly rare event. So my Ferrari attracts extra attention. Since Italians truly love Ferrari, they're quite careful not to ding them with car doors or grocery carts. That helps too.

Finally, my favorite parking place is nose in against the outer fence where it changes directions producing one parking spot which has extra room on each side. Not enough for a car, but enough room so that the door on the can not touch my car. It's like taking up two spots without the rudeness associated with that practice; something that makes my blood boil. I have never "keyed" a car, but I get a nearly overwhelming urge to do so when I see someone taking up two parking spots.

The 360 can carry an entire cart-load of food without putting anything on the seat. It actually makes a decent grocery-getter.

 

My car was for sale for two days a year or two ago. For the money (mondial) there is nothing I would rather have. Plus with all the work I'd put into it I figured it could be a reliable driver for many years to come, why pass that off to someone else. I'll keep it thank you.

 

I guess I'm just a different type of car buyer than the people I encounter when I sell a car. I've never offered more than 10% below the asking price of a car....I just move on to another car with a lower asking price! I cannot fathom contacting someone selling a car and wasting their time with an offer 25%-30% below their ask.
