chris, that's a nice choice of colour for the aventador. sets it apart from the usual yellow, orange and black. a pity today's cars are getting smarter and a bit too easy to drive especially with dual clutch gearboxes. shifting a manual car with heel-toe is much more involving and connects you with the road better imo

It's scandalous that Porsche is not offering a manual gearbox option for the new 991 GT3. I'm not a huge PDK fan.

I'm out of town till July. 6-7 July sounds like an idea.... I'm driving the baboon as a daily now though so its seeing plenty of use. But it's getting a good break while I'm overseas so a catch up would be fun. I'm actually going to do my usual weekend breakfast with the eggs man and his overpaid blue beast around then when he gets back into town as well. Maybe we tee up a catch up then. I just want to see that thing on the road.

    SMS me if confirmed boys.

Mate am seeing the mp12s are getting a bit hard to sell. Hence I didn't move on the trade as that would have meant moving from one hard to sell car to another hard to sell car.

    Looks orange.

A Gallardo in red is also very nice.

Which manual car do you think is the most rewarding to drive?

By any chance it's a white R8 with 5 spoke wheels? Low RM400k is a steal, Jon. Last I checked most of the '08 R8 is in the range of RM450K+

Mind sharing where is your dealer located, and name? Thinking of dropping by :)

SF, I get your point. Because this is a Ferrari forum therefore I must spell it correctly if not I am deemed disrespectful. So I do have the right to spell "wrongly" for Lamborghini. Right? Just as I feel it is very disrespect for you to call people troll. Not meaning to me though. Well.. Let's move on.

Back to the topic, I think the explanation u given doesn't help much to my question. As I am asking what are the maintenance issue which is required for these Italian cars. For another example, to my understanding GTR has to have their transmission oil change almost every 5-7k in mileage. Does this have to for the Italians? I have own cars like the GT3 and SLS. They proved almost problem free or rather maintenance free. BTW, I don't think these 2 cars are supercars.

This supercar that I will be purchasing will probably last me at least 5 years.

I think cka may be able to help me on my question as he did provide a little input.

Guys, shall we confirm it for the weekend of 6-7 Jul? Would love to see that egg. Jon - get the Diablo out and that Cinque as well. With MP/CKA's cars, it would be one hell of a sight. What about the usual suspects, Doug, Tim and the rest? We can do a dual confirmation thru the whatsapp chat group and this forum.

    +1

Explains why I bought the Evora. Love shifting the gears myself. And heel-toe is a fast dying art.

    My opinion?

    The Lotus Evora. (biased)

Definitely, we met so many seasoned lambo owners during the tour & all of them commented that the new cars are like Play station now. It's almost idiot proof!

Dennis has not collected his Koenig yet as he's away as some of you will know but he's always game for a drive though he can never wake up early ^^

I might just lay off the Diablo for a while as I simply don't have the time to deal with it. Tried a battery charger overnight but it's confirmed that battery is dead & to change one, you'd need to remove a rear wheel plus some parts. Oh boy....

Meanwhile, we may just shake leg @ Marina watching sunset & Mp's boat.

Well, suit yourself how you'd like to spell them. Troll, c'mon who calls themselves pinky & acknowledges he's handsome as if he's looking into a mirror while viewing this thread. OMG...

FYI, we have a Mr ex-Universe here who still maintains his V shape while there's an ex-F16 fighter pilot, a Mr Hugo Boss & even a Maharajah. We always measure who's dick is longer but never have a quarrel while we love the usual teh tarik & hokkien stuff as well.

Now back to your questions, you asked about clutch so I answered you & if you don't understand. It means people who don't know how to drive those cars destroys their clutches & there are plenty out there. E-gear, SMG & F1 requires some learning especially in jams & upslopes. You'll be surprise how many burn their clutches. Each job is S$5-8k depending on where you go & the Murcie SV? It's an S$18K job cos the whole engine has to come out.

Above is clutch alone. You'll have the service to deal with that can range between S$1K-5K. Lambos are usually once every 10K km. Ferraris have belt jobs every 3-5years & they count every screw & washer with you.

Which GT3 do you have? We're Porsche lovers here.

Lastly, before you take the bite please go & check on the insurance, a lot of people will be surprised how much it costs these days to insure an F or L car. SV will easily set you back S$25K a year on 50% NCD.

Maybe. One of our friend bought two lambos from Mel. V10 for wife, V12 for himself & they go driving together.
