just put in 11 hours of 'finishing' touches with my crew today, so close, expected MOVE IN day is next week, TUESDAY!! I can't wait, it has been a 54 week remodel on a tiny cabin, so you can tell we went all out. Here are photos from today, upper two floors are nearly done, next up garage/showroom level, gotta be nice, you can see it from every part of the house, even my bed, through the floor window.

Yep, right there where they sit...ONLY place that made sense inside the cabin, it is small for sure. They are pulled away as connections are being done at the rear. Didn't want them in the garage...not fun going down into the cold during a winter storm for laundry.

Turning out awesome. The stairs are cool. The window is awesome too. Can't wait to see the whole thing.

    I figured.

I really like the stairs, albeit I'd probably trip and fall on them.:D

They are a trip, you gotta have your feet sorted. They are nice and solid and functioning perfectly.....they will have railings once we move furniture up to the bedroom. Right now gonna need the space.

Thanks for all the positive props. :)

More photos of project coming soon.

Latest progress....nearly finished upper two floors, stairs down into garage now in place. Garage is gonna be busy as a furniture 'modifier', meaning I am moving all the furniture into the cabin after we have cut it up when possible to fit with those steep walls.

The entry door is nearly complete..still am gonna address that old green paint. The brass whale knocker is old school and has been on that door for as long as anyone can remember, so for sure it went back on...'whale beach' (named so, because many of the big granite boulders resemble whales) is also my favorite east shore Tahoe beach, so has significance too :D

Bustin my rear to get this place ready for move in mañana....final electrical today... plugs, switches, lights, thermostats....

Anyone remember these Porsche Design lights? I acquired em years ago and been waiting for just the right house to put em in :)

There are 4 and they look phenomenal! Here are the upstairs two that light the stairwell walls.

one of the other ones lights the entry way...
The fourth is a few feet from the entry way one and is wired to come on with the living room cans....stunners!

Very cool project Mang! Congrats it looks terrific man!

I'd definently have a warning label on the stairs "No beers before or during usage of stairs!"

    LOL :)

    Enjoy!

Sounds stunning Stuart! Boxers are sick! How about a photo, here! Will dress up my thread :)

Here is a an Alfa queue. These beauties are waiting for their new home (the garage) which is now stuffed with STUFF, gotta get it all clean and sorted and then the babies go in. I will have interior 'furnished' photos in a few days. I finally got all the finish electrical done just today and plan to spend my first night in there on Saturday....so effing happy, been 54 weeks so far.
