I'm surprised that the lire pit and its owner are not part of it's grand opening in Toronto ...or is it? Inquiring minds want to know.
king rouge... I would really love to be there ... in fact as it happens I was there today on another matter and snapped this pic . Looks like a big outdoor party tonight . Some friends on here will be in attendance . I am however in the final throws of loading my car for the long journey south to the Inn at Mount Pocono this Saturday ( approx. 7 hours ) that is hosting La Belle Macchine ( the largest Italian car gathering on the east coast) !!!! Nat'l Lambo meet as well as Bizzy , Ferrari,Maserati and McClaren . This year to be nice they are welcoming some historic 911s even as an homage to their 50th year . This ain't NO Johnny Lombardi sausage fest my friend !!!! Last year in very bad weather they had 100 or so of the finest vintage hand beaten steel of the big three and no less than all three existing bizzarrini spyders. This year they are expecting north of 2oo cars and unlike what we see here over and over again , here almost none are of the modern persuasion . Also being the 50th year since Mr. Lamborghini began busting Enzos balls they are featuring one model of every Lambo ever made !!!! Yet again Mr Balboni will be conducting the Lambo tour thru the mountains for those that can keep his pace ! I guess that's a good excuse not attend . For those that are going take lots more pictures ... Have a great time Rick! Gary Espada 8394 EtypeFHC 887465 Image Unavailable, Please Login
Good to hear Gary ! Would have Been nice if at the grand opening of the new store they had a few of the old, older models with owners at the invite with the new cars. Sort of ties in all the models nicely via era, and enthusiasim as an event. Have a safe trip Gary, look forward to your pictures as always.
unlike Ferrari I don't think Audi cares very much about the old stuff unfortunately . they are in business to sell new cars and with no formal classiche dept as yet the connection is not there . I once called the dealer a few years back for a new radiator and they contacted the factory who told them it was a miracle they had a series 2 Espada rad still in stock !! the price ....... $4000.00 . I declined Gary Espada 8394 Etype 8874645
Gary, I spoke witha guy named Rob who works on all of the older models at the dealer. He used to work for Leny's back in the day and shared a few stories about his co-worker Ugo. Lucas was there taking great pictures as usual and hopefully he will post. I did take many pictures of the female variety...
great news ! Car Gods everywhere should tip their hats to a true Toronto legend . Ugo was a man who devoted his entire adult life to Lamborghini both as a factory mechanic in the 70s in Sant' Agata and then came to Canada to find work with Lenny . Once Lenny passed he continued to work with John, Lenny's son until last year he finally retired at 80 years young . Never married and no kids this was his life. I remember he would go in the back of his old Volvo station wagon to look for throttle linkages piled in milk crates! while doing a carb sync on my car. I'm guessing on that Ebay the contents of that trunk would be in the thousands LOL. Even after 30 years I still had to use a buddy to translate so we understood each other . We should , Lamborghini Toronto should ,throw a party to honor him and not just a new model !!!! Talk again when we are all back . take pics dude! Gary Espada 8394 EtypeFHC 887465
Ugo has to be older than 80? he was old in 2000 when he worked on my car when I used to go to Lenny's in etobicoke. Glad to hear he finally retired, maybe he can do what he truly wanted to do Play with ferrari's

That purple SE30, Miura, and XJ220-S are the showstoppers by far. Oh, and great to see that greyish Diablo 6.0 still in the area. I remember it was sitting in the showrom at the old dealership for a long time before getting sold, back in ~2005. Such an awesome machine.
Great event! Posted a few pictures on facebook: https://www.facebook.com/media/set/?set=a.10152930030355158.1073741834.642530157&type=1
