Great photo Lars!
Speaking of great photos, this one of Harry in the QV is one of the best Countach images I've seen. Image Unavailable, Please Login
Yes. http://www.ferrarichat.com/forum/139188482-post5017.html Something about the car being brought back to its original guise "step-by-step". Image Unavailable, Please Login
Raymond, We all know it has the gold leather interior. But this was changed to tan leather when the car was in the USA years ago. So, ApexOversteer is wondering if the gold interior has been put back in the interior & engine bay http://www.ferrarichat.com/forum/142387095-post17247.html I responded that I know the exterior is back to original, but I haven't seen pics of the interior or engine to see if that is also back to original. Posteriore140's "step-by-step" remarks suggest that this was the plan, and if this has happened I would love to see pics of it.
My how tastes have changed. I bet when this first came out everyone thought it was the coolest paint job ever.
I've crawled up and down this thread at least twice annually for 6 years and I haven't got a clue how I missed that image! Rare we get to see a perfect side shot of one of these particular variants. Thanks for topping it Joe.
I have these in my collection. They're very badly blurred, but you get a decent idea of what the interior and engine bay looked like originally. I don't know who posted them, but they appear to be from the same photo shoot as Joe's factory image. Interior Engine Bay Swiss Army Countach
From a few weeks ago at the Bugatti event at the Ste. Michelle Winery in Woodinville. Sure makes a difference when a professional photographer makes the photos!!! Mike Image Unavailable, Please Login
Very nice picture Mike but I have a question. I see your car is a U.S. QV as mine is and you have replaced that hideous front U.S. bumper with a much more appealing style. I have also considered that but feel an obligation to originality to the way my car rolled off the assembly line at the the factory in Italy. Just curious on your thoughts and why you chose to do that. I especially have a problem with still having the rear U.S. toaster bumpers and a mismatch with the non conforming U.S. bumper in the front. Not judging, just trying to justify replacing mine.
It was an easy decision for me.... the original owner had done it a few years before I bought it! LOL! However, he did keep the original black monstrosity (and gave it to me when I bought the car). Its wrapped in cardboard and up in the rafters above the garage. I have waffled back and forth about the rear end... I know I'm probably in the minority, but I actually like the looks of the USA fiberglass rear bumper that goes across the rear end/tail lamps. However, I don't like the 4 toaster bumpers, but am leaving them on just because they are OEM. Here is another image that Jonathan made. I love the red against the green trees, flowers, etc.. http://damatophotography.com/staycation2013/h63441a22#h63441a22 Mike Mike
Autosport, would you mind sharing images of your USA QV please? Also, you had mentioned earlier that you are considering buying a car that's out of the country right now http://www.ferrarichat.com/forum/142379122-post17151.html Perhaps you can share (privately if you prefer) which car that is, as I facilitate the importation of Countachs besides several other models, and I feel certain my contacts may be of benefit to you.
At some point I will post some pics. The dealer that found me the car will be handling the importation if I go forward, but if something changes I will be in touch. Thanks.

On the rear of some Countachs is the red light (circled in the photo below). What is this light? Rear fog light? Is it always on the right on a right hand drive Countach and on the left for a left hand drive Countach? Some Countachs seem to have one on each side on the back or none at all, but most seem to have just one. Why? Car pictured is a RHD 5000S. This is also true for QVs and 88.5 QVs. Only wondering because then you (I) can tell from a rear only photo if a car is RHD. Image Unavailable, Please Login
and I thought I was the only one who liked that look. For me it makes the car look lower and more aggressive. Image Unavailable, Please Login
