Hopefully it's a lot less buggy than iOS 6. Apps causing memory leaks is a PIA when it happens to both my phone & ipad Not to mention the software causing power module issues & shorting itself, thus screen issues or infinite reboots. About to go back for my 3rd iPad. Glad it was a gift. No way I'd use this as a secondary aviation gps
OK. SO far, the look and feel is far too delicate. Too much white space, too many primary colors in icons. Odd fonts. A lot is new for the sake of being new: circles instead of bars for phone reception is one example. I'll see how I like it after I get accustomed to it. It's definitely different. Calendar seems hard to look at a month at a time. Phone controls are less intuitive. Did I mention that there's too much white space? The parallax things is very, very cool. Very unnecessary, but very cool. I think that his is going to look pretty dated pretty quickly. Matt Image Unavailable, Please Login
And I really miss the skeuomorphic icons. Like the yellow lined paper for notes, or the almost steampunk look of the compass. Matt
When I first looked at that screenshot I thought it was from Windows' OS. That doesn't look very "Apple" to me!
Compass look and feel comparison between old and new. I liked the wood background, the brass bezel, the old time dial, and so on. Very missing is the iconic reflection that Apple used everywhere. And gone is the Apple font. Strange. Image Unavailable, Please Login
I had Beta 1 on my 4S for a weekend, liked a lot of it, especailly the multitasking, control center and new home screen. The abundance of white space in some apps I felt was a bit disturbing, too. I downgraded back to iOS 6 because the beta version was buggy and used up too much battery life. Still, overall I liked it.
Hmmph! Is this only available for the "latest & greatest"? My iPhone 4s & iPad2 are both saying they're up to date at 6.1.3. As for the "look & feel", from the little I've seen it appears a lot "cleaner" to me. I guess it's like most things; We humans just don't like change for changes sake? Cheers, Ian
Ian, You need to download a copy of 7, then in iTunes hit Alt + Shift (on a PC) and then update. Matt
That's a good idea. iOS 7 (at least the Beta version) drains the battery pretty fast, too. I'm reverting back to iOS 6 right now. Matt
I reverted, but I still have all sorts of failures to load apps. Am I the only fool on F-Chat to try the Beta?
