Lars, thank you for sharing this. I will be at Goodwood, incidentally, so I hope to see 12868. I remember this car from when it was new. I will also be visiting Bob Forstner to see his London car on behalf of a UK client. Thank you for your kind words. I have a 288 GTO book finally coming out in the next few months, then I will take a break. However. Please note that I have been collecting Countach material for 25 years Image Unavailable, Please Login
this car was for sale in auction in 2005 in Swiss supposed to be a special built car for Bobnar with tuned engine, special color, special belts...etc interesting car!
Many thanks for the s/n Joe! Indeed I've also been waiting for your 288 GTO book for a looooooooooong time - I'll definitely buy it once it comes out! Countach material gathered for 25 years... Joe, you REALLY need to do a book on that model too, after your break Pretty please Ciao, Lars PS: You wouldn't know the s/n of the black Bob Forstner car too, would you?
Emilio, another special-build 25th Anniversario was Joe Nastasi's car, imaged here with Joe at the factory for the Lamborghini Days in 1993. He could drive it too!! Image Unavailable, Please Login
Indeed, the word from the Historic Series is: if he wants to pass, let him pass 2011 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9ZmeW2RElwc And earlier this year https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YFmeQ4Tfjzk
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KOveyUC6NBk Jeff's fabulous 12002, Bianco Perlato/Bianco, original downdraft carbureted 25th Anniversario, loading it up is a family affair.
+1 it's a fact anywhere in the world on this & our countries tax 200%+ on our cars! Roy, thanks for educating us on dealer's tax issues. It's more or less the same here especially on the fleet insurance & we get your point so let's move on & enjoy the cars shall we?
Perfect Joe, now all you need is a few 100 pages of content Many thanks to Robert for the s/n btw! Ciao, Lars
As I'm slowly working my way through this thread, I don't know if someome else has already replied to this. Just in case, I can correct that it's actually KLA12900, an ex-Brunei car. (original post was on page 25, post #491) Ciao, Lars
Yesterday I went to that dealer offering #KLA12081 here in Belgium. The purple color is not factory as they leave people to believe, clearly it was red and the interior remains original. It is a 2x owners car, unfortunately without any documentation/invoices/records, very strange ! Asking price is 148.000 for what is the last known existing Countach delivered to a Customer and the 3rd last produced... considering that #KLA12085 is the last produced Countach never sold because belonging to the factory and sitting in the Museo ! Yes Joe, this is at the 2012 Ferrari and Friends Concorso on LaSalle Rd in West Hartford, CT. Ironically this years event is two days away. Sunday June 30th. Thanks for posting, I'll have a smile for the rest of the day.
What a surprise... my ex Countach 25th #KLA-12432 is for sale in Germany... It is resprayed to original paint scheme... Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
Hi Olivier, Very interesting! In which years did you own it and do I see correctly that it was metallic green (or is that blue?) during your ownership? Thanks & ciao, Lars
