You guys are a humorous bunch of fellows. My dad is going to laugh his you-know-what off when he reads these comments. I'm going to dig up some more pictures of dad's old 308s and of my current GT4. But rest assured, none of these photos will include any images of me. My ego is way too fragile!
You develop thick skin around this crew. Mine is still growing. Welcome to fchat. Would like to see your gt4 and the 308 with italia racing stripes. I think I recall seeing one for sale in Colorado in the mid 80's. can't imagine many around with that detail. I really like it as it is very period. There are a few gt4 brethren in your neck of the woods. Garven is a big voice behind gt4s.
What's interesting is that it has the triple stripes, but not black in the seam/belt line. Is this a factory paint job?
Kaliforniakid: Thanks for the welcome. Yes, I know Robert Garvin. He's a really cool guy and a walking GT4 encyclopedia. Chris Columbia: I'm pretty sure white was the factory color but I can't speak for the stripes.
given that the tricolore stripe is consistent with Ferrari's F1 cars of the era, it would be interesting to know where it came from
After the white GTB pictured earlier in this thread my dad bought a 75 GT4, 10154. Here's the car in Malaga Cove on Palos Verdes peninsula in about 1985. The second picture (with black Campagnolos) was taken at Riverside in 1986 on the day that Lyn St James walked away from that huge crash in the Ford Probe. And here's my 75 GT4, 10208. This was taken just after driving down 2 miles of dirt road in the SoCal TT last fall. Image Unavailable, Please Login
Was shooting a friends yellow 308 and realized I had never seen nor heard my car moving other than from inside. My buddy volunteered to run up and down the road a couple times for me. Image Unavailable, Please Login
no tire rub, but gotta be super careful with the front valence. the spings in the rear are too soft, going up one stiffness when i do the suspesion this winter.
Thank you. I think you meant Aston Martin of New England and yes it was the one. I took delivery in early May. I'm very happy with it.
