I'm glad that people are beginning to realize what a sham we've been subjected to but I suspect that most will limit their outrage to the tire issue or vent solely on an already unflavored team.

Interesting analysis from Gary Anderson on the turn 4 saw tooth kerbs edges cutting the tire sidewalls, may have been track induced and the drivers running beyond the kerb.

 

It's going to be at the Nurburgring. I tend to believe Silverstone is more challenging/higher speed corners and s-bends, so the plot should thicken next weekend.

 

Gary Andersons shots of the kerb at Turn 4 and his analysis seem conclusive to me. What I would be interested to know is whether the kerbs have been changed since last years race.

The design seems so crazy its almost as if they were deliberately designed to destroy tyres.

 

Where is this analysis please ?

 

On the BBC coverage Gary took a cameraman with him to turn 4 and showed the 1 inch high vertical concrete edges on the outer edge of the kerbs, with 90 degree angles. These are adjacent to the flat green concrete area outside the kerbs, which drivers were running onto. So when running back from the concrete area, over the kerb , back onto the track, the sidewall of the tyres hits a 1 inch vertical with a sharp pointed end.

Nico Rosberg's British victory under investigation

 

It's a different type of wear at the 'ring. Lots of sweeping turns, mechanical with some medium aero stuff, not quite as high speed as Silverstone but with plenty of opportunities for slippage. W04 should go very very well there.

 

Conspiracy theorists may ponder whether MB's performance has embarrassed the FIA.

 

Im all for stripping the win. Justice in Silverstone since the tribunal denied common sense.

Pretty much. Any circuit with tight turns at all relying on mechanical grip is all Fric country. Man I'd love to see Red Bull get the paddle this year.

 

It's really hard to tell how "sharp" it is. And not knowing how finicky f1 tires are it's hard to assess if this really did cause it. Especially since the tires have been an issue all season.

I am glad to see Vettel's car fail. Alonso was right.

 

That was a hell of a race. Great fun to watch. Big Winner Nico followed by Alonso and Webber.

Aside from the Pirelli cluster, it was an incredible race especially the last 10 laps.

 

Shows you what a great race you can have... when Seb isn't running.

Honestly the two people who impressed me the most in this race were Hamilton and Massa.

Hamilton should have won this race. Pirelli has some questions to answer to.

Alonso had a good race but should have finished 5th instead of 3rd. Points are great but lets face it, it wasn't their best.

Poor Webber... so close and so far.

Button with McLaren starts 10th and finishes 13th in the home GP. Wow.
