    As it should.

It is a team sport after all and competition is so tough there is no room for rivalries within one team.

I don't hate Massa, but switching gears to speculation about Massa's replacement...and talking prematurely, keep an eye on Daniel Ricciardo. Ferrari-engined Torro Rosso's technical director has been absent at a couple of grands prix- talking with Ferrari?

Ricciardo is itching for a bigger ride, and hoped to take Webber's seat next year, but has to wait another year- if that's going to happen. Of course it is early, but as of now, Red Bull hasn't signed him for next year.

    Alonso/Ricciardo?

    :) Good point.

    +1

However, it remains the one most of the teams want (need!) to do well in. After the top 2-3 teams the money is there, not in the WDC.

    :)

    Here we go again! ;)

Dude has a decent qualy, and he should be in Phil's seat! :) [No offense BTW.]

    Cheers,
    Ian

eventually, he might (and I never take offense toward a good point). One thing to note is his driving skill in the rain for 10 laps. Kimi wouldn't even go out.

It's certainly possible I guess. Thx for seeing my underlying point too ;). Guys come in, have a decent run or two and the peanut gallery here immediately anoints them as, at the least, Fred's new 'mate, at best the next coming.....

Also worth noting that Jules has outshone him thus far overall....

'Kimi knows what he's doing......' :)

    Cheers,
    Ian

If you want to win races and pad a very impressive trophy room, come be Ferrari's #2. If you don't, stay with Toro Rosso, Force India or Sauber. It doesn't take a genius to figure out that Sutil, DiResta, Ricciardo, Kobayashi, Hulkenburg, or Vergne would kill for Massa's seat.

Ferrari needs to make it happen with one of them. It's time.

There's only one event that I know of and there the real offense wasn't the spoiler but the arrogance that followed.

I don't see how you can spoil the "results" of practice.

Personally there are a number of so called sports that a reveal of the championship round wouldn't be a spoiler.
    ;)
But if it is to some, I respect it.

    Oh dear.

    As a direct result of that threads title, which appeared on the Fchat home page, I knew, prior to watching it that;

    1. Phil had crashed.
    2. It was wet.

If that's not a spoiler I really don't know what is. And, as the Viz kindly noted, compounding the problem didn't help..... I already said I was gonna let it slide until he climbed outta his pram, then I got pissed. Sorry.

Just pisses me off that a generally sound forum has some that don't seem able to write a distinctive thread title without it being a spoiler.(Edit; or, if it is, just say so!)

    Cheers,
    Ian

    Inadvertent spoilers can happen.
But doing your best to avoid them is just common courtesy.

I still don't see what the spoiler is as there are no results in practice. Massa could have been fastest in practice and it wouldn't have meant anything because it is practice. And an accident also doesn't tell you how competitive the car is.

Massa crashing is a headline, nothing more or less in practice.

No. To me the OP did a service to the community by giving a shout out of an important headline. I don't follow practice but seeing that headline made me check out the news.

That service to me outweighs somebody else's need for keeping the "suspense" of a taped practice session secret.

I think my favorite was he says that he learned "it was wet." Who gives a ****? You find that out the second your turn on the TV. If anything it should have saved his time watching a boring wet practice session.

OK. You don't follow practice, but I do. Seeing that title hours before I was able to get home and watch the recording definitely spoiled some of the anticipation / enjoyment for me.

    :)

Do they even have a championship game?......

And such 'headlines' are the reason I don't watch TV, visit Autosport or ESPN ahead of watching the recording. I trust that the well known rules here ensure I won't see such headlines. Again, I know better than to visit the F1 section, but it was right there on the home page.

    +1

Unfortunately, some put their ignorance above the enjoyment of all others. Commonly known as the '**** you society'.... 'It doesn't bother me, why should it bother anyone else?' Then these same folk get upset about Mercedes cheating!

    Cheers,
    Ian
