I have no idea of what's happened there. What i know is that there is a file including features of each single Countach built as i saw it, but i 'm not allowed to tell where i saw them. My idea is that when the factory went to first bankrupcy (1979-80?), many files and tools "disappeared" and the same could have happened during the various change of property ciao
This is what really happened and the fire was just the official explanantion... BTW, they did not went bankrupt but were under chapter 11.
Thank you for the explanation Alberto and Raymond. Hope all is well with both of you and your Countach's are running perfectly! Mike
is this add real? a 500s for 100K in MA. Any MA members that knows the story? 1984 Lamborghini Countach Black, for sale in United States, $100,000.
in Italian the words are "amministrazione controllata" or "controlled finance": that means local Court takes the control of the factory and names a new CEO for a limited time so the the Court can evaluate if the factory can go on or not waiting for someone that wants to buy it. ciao
I'd venture to suggest that over the years, facsimiles of many of said files have been made and discreetly disseminated. Hope you are well Alberto.
I'm fine, thanks. I'm sure there are many copies of that file on both sides of Atlantic ocean, but i haven't one. I Just checked on that files if that my car was black with red interiors as it actually is. And it was. ciao
Yep. I thought it was interesting that besides the "Build Sheet" for my Countach, they also sent me this "Technical Feature" spec sheet via overnight DHL back in 2010 as well. Mike Image Unavailable, Please Login
Lots of stories, do a search on Lpow and there is a thread on it. Supposedly needs almost a total resto. 1984 Lamborghini Countach - $130,000 | WHEELING, IL | This car was originally built for a dot com millionaire wh...
i have a similar spec sheet. Did they send you also the "build sheet" with colors and options? i do not have it yet, i just checked with my eyes on the "disappeared" file. How much did they charged you for the build sheet? Thanks ciao Image Unavailable, Please Login
Picture shows car's tech spec sheet and not the Build sheet. Official build sheet has at least chassis number, engine number, gearbox number, car color, interior color, if car as some special options and the first owner name. My car was sold to SEA dealership in Rome, Italy. Just checked five minutes ago at the phone with the factory and the lady read me some details on my car. I already checked my car in an unofficial way and it has matching numbers, but i will ask the factory for official build sheet: they just sent me the form to fill via e-mail. Thank you very much Mike, i did not know they could supply the build sheet. ciao
Wow. Albert, how do You ask them to supply You the build sheet ? I would like to get my car build sheet too please. Thanks. Cheers, Taffy
you have to contact your local dealer. This is the form to fill you have to give the dealer. ciao Image Unavailable, Please Login
Hi Albert Out of curiosity, did you have to pay your dealer for this? The London main dealer has asked for £500 (around 600, $750) which seems a bit cheeky. Regards Jonathan
i was charged 150 euro for the tech sheet three years ago, i do not know for others yet: hope to be less than 600 euro! ciao
That's a Lambo, an exclusive luxury supercar: this was the official Lambo answer when i complained about some completely crazy spare part prices like the camshafts roller bearings and the clutch T/O bearing... And then i needed it to registry the car here in Italy... ciao
Hello Alberto: Yep, I got a build sheet as well. There was no charge at all when I obtained both from the factory back in 2010. Something must have changed in their policy if they are now charging for them! What a shame! However, I'm glad I got mine when I did! Mike Image Unavailable, Please Login
