Kehrtwende im Fall Pirelli: Freie Testfahrten in Sicht? | Automobil | MOTORSPORT aktuell Bernie announces that Todt is considering two 3 day tests for all teams this season without any restrictions. About time.
Give it up already will ya, your constant whining is boring. Silverstone proved without doubt testing on up to date cars is essential, get over it.
You are even more annoying now than when Hamilton was at McLaren. You are now a blind Mercedes fanboy living in denial. Don't worry, maybe Hamilton can actually get a win like Rosberg one of these days. Good thing Mercedes already got theirs out of the way. Now its time to level the playing field for the teams that didn't cheat.
Thats the way don't let facts get in the way am not trying to convince you, believe what you want, however I won't be taking my Fezza to the nearest Pirelli garage in the hope they will make it faster...
The apologists have arrived! What color is the sky in your parallel universe? Newsflash big guy: There's a reason Mercedes are unable to participate in the YDT, and it's not because Hamilton's bulldog crapped in Todt's shoes... Just a brilliant analogy, so comparable. This year has really exposed some posters for being really...well...I won't get into it.
Another lawyer! Why are Merc unable to participate in the YDT if they didn't break the rules? I'll be waiting...
Because the Fia could not determine if any rules were broken, hence a tribunal was needed. The tribunal made that decision, not the Fia. The punishment would have been much more severe had it been clear. Because it wasn't clear, and they know the FIa and Pirelli couldn't really be punished, they slap MB on the wrist knowing full well that liability was comparative. Egg is on the Fia's face for this whole fiasco, not Mercedes'.
How many ****ing threads do we need on this?..... And no, it's not a testing free for all either. They've simply allowed regular drivers to participate in the YDT as long as its for tyre testing only. Any development work must still be done by the youngsters and the FIA will have observers with each team to ensure compliance. They may also extend it for another day if required. Merc are indeed not participating. Cheers, Ian
Only because their own man dropped the ball! I agree, it was a serious offense. I just find it amusing, coming from you, that you are defending Merc so hard after calling for Red Bull to be reamed time and again by the FIA for finding true loopholes like flexi wings, ride height adjustment, engine maps, etc.
No sir. They're discussing opening it up further, but the only thing they've confirmed so far is that regular jockeys can run in the YDT. Cheers, Ian
And that my friend is the crux of the situation. Big difference here. RB's interpretational advantage was not preceeded by the Fia botching a rule interpretation.
I agree. This is all about YTD as that was the sole punishment, which I actually still believe is harsh as it was the Fia's srew-up, they granted MB the permission. This is like a judge failing to bring both attorney's to the bench to review something (only bringing the Fia attorney in this case, and not all the team's counsel which would have been appropriate). The judge screwed up, and the team were given the all-clear, so why on earth not go testing?
Nothing to do with reading German. It's old news that's been extensively reported by many respected sources over the past few days; Autosport, Pitpass and Bernie's own site all have the story. JT has asked the WMSC to change the rule that bans in season testing. This clears the way for the YDT to become a full on tire test with the regular jockeys. Cheers, Ian
MB would be allowed in these tests as these are totally different tests than YDT. No dates yet, just between now and the end of the year.
