    For the Bond film The Spy Who Loved Me, it was the "only car to be built into a fully operational, self-propelled submersible".

    The article does not mention that this was not a proper submarine though in the sense of being watertight. It had to be operated by divers.

    Also not sure if the storage container story is entirely accurate.

    The story is true. My brother met this guy in the early 90's and was telling the tale then. At the time, I believe he was looking for ~$7k for the shell (which is all this was).
