And remember when the company Enron went belly up and lots of investors took a blood bath on their money. Turned out Enron had not paid a single dime in taxes in the 8 years prior 8 to their collapse, but yet the fat cat bosses received millions of dollars in saleries and bonus money! Still remember seeing the video of a party for Enron officials and investors(including George W.), and one of the bigshots bragging how he could, "cook the books". Little did we know how well he was telling the truth.....

What does that have to do with the price of tea in China?

Do you feel the same when GE doesn't pay taxes?

Personally, I wish corporations wouldn't be required to pay taxes at all, since they don't really pay them in the first place, they only collect them from you and I...

Corporate tax revenue is a small portion of the federal revenue, just eliminate the damn thing and watch the economy take off when hundreds/thousands of companies will move HQ to the US and start manufacturing here instead of being in low tax havens.

Alas, is will never happen because less power over people vial taxation means less power for politicians.

Imagine the drastic reduction in lobbyists!!

I for one, talking about parking in handicap spots. I will go out of my way not to park in a HC spot. Then I thank God that I don't need one and can still walk. Shame on any one who scams to get a HC placard or parks in a spot when not needed.

When you have the "real" house wives of where ever acting like spoiled little girls flaunting their wasteful extravagence and the Kardasians being crammed up our a$$e$, its hardly regular folks to blame since many are (particularly now) weighing whether to buy Bounty towels or a case of pop because they can't afford both.

The wealthy and wealth used to be respected because for the most part, the wealthy had class and didn't shove it in peoples faces in "look at me" fashion.

If the media keep this up,(and they will), watch for flying bricks aimed at your car.

Concur - Perhaps a Colorado thing - When I had the Speed Yellow 997/911 it got minimal attention except people that did not know Porsche made yellow cars.

The 355 I get swarmed and followed into parking lots, gas stations etc. The Testarossa even moreso - most likely because it is white and the Miami Vice notoriety. Comments are usually positive but truly think that is related to the demeanor of the owner. I truly enjoy the questions, taking time for pictures, letting kids (and adults) sit in and enjoy the cars etc.

When in my trusty 03 Jetta I have approached Ferrari, Lambo, McLaren owners as well as an enthusiast first, fellow owner second and been amazed at the range of demeanor - some are cool and approachable - some are rude and elitist which I think hurts the image and the brands. Here the weighting is much more former than latter but that seems to change by region. In South Florida for example it is quite the opposite.

Guess we are lucky to be in Colorado :)

I agree that it depends on where you are.

Here in Nebraska, feedback is almost universally positive if you're in some kind of exotic car. You just don't see many of them, and most of the owners are very polite.

Did anyone see the video of the yellow 458 Spider having eggs thrown at it in London? Sickening.

    EDIT: Found the video. http://youtu.be/vNNazlDSvX8

Was that the Yellow 458 from Kuwait that was being loaded off a trailer? If so that may have been more anger toward the country and percieved limitless weatlth versus the car. Does not make the act right in any way and yes - sickening - but overt displays of Middle Eastern wealth in a country where gas prices are off the scale will get people riled up.

The very same. And I agree, I'm sure it was more resentment towards the person driving the car than resentment towards the car itself, which in and of itself is a much bigger issue.
