    trying to read up on threads about leaking oil line's and info on were people are getting new ones made or repaired with out wanting to pay Ferrari prices on a new $1,300 line, curious if anyone knows of a shop around the Toronto area and west, that repairs these lines?
    went to 3 shops today with no luck!
    the line thats leaking is it comes off the bottom side of the oil tank and goes to the engine, I can squeeze the line and my hands get oil on them.... been tracing this leak for awhile and finally found it!

    any info would help...

    Have you tried Rock or Daytona ?

    no I haven't , was more thinking of a hydraulic hose/ specialty shop!?

    Why don't you try and remove the line yourself, then bring it to a hydraulic/industrial supply shop and get a new one made, then install it again.

    Half the cost of the repair is the mechanics labour time...If its possible, try and DIY. I'm not a 355 expert, but a broken hose seems straight forward job.

    Dozens of hydraulic/hose guys in the GTA, but you would need to bring them the old hose in order to match it.

    the line has been removed, and I have brought the line to three different hydraulic places,
    all with no luck...

    Whats the problem? The hose places cannot match it? Or they cannot fix it?

    Strange, I have a few machines from Italy and I don't have any problems finding hoses, fittings etc.. from my local supplier.

    Post a picture here, and maybe another FCHATTER can help you out.

    The biggest issue is from soup to nuts, everything is metric in size. Its also a braided line. Many places will not even touch it.

    I have also found that the crimp fittings get replaced with ones that are much too large and somtimes you run into clearance issues. You can also run into indexing issues aswell.

    Best remidie is to buy the line from Ferrari. Expensive, and over priced as they are, its the best way.

    your right, all 3 places I went didn't want to touch the line, they mentioned the fittings would be hard to match as well, even though I know buying the factory lines would be the easiest way , i cant justify Ferrari's price for a simple oil line,(that extra money could go towards a nice set of high flow cats) haha , little more digging, ill keep searching, and let you guys no what I find! I know im not the only one with these leaking oil line issues that would definitly benefit finding a shop that can do them for a reasonable price!

    I know 2 hydraulic places near me in Concord... they seem to find any parts, even the oddest fittings and hoses for any application. You can message me and I will give you the details.

    8 years ago I was looking for the same line for a 308 and all the hydraulic shops could not deal with the fittings. But I have seen that line for sale on ebay a few times. Look aroung and you will find it hopefully sooner than latter.
    BTW which part is it? 145040 or 145039?

    I am also looking for 145040.... any luck finding shops that will rebuild? Can the fittings be removed and reused? I am uneasy about installing used part off of eBay from a salvage.

    suggest getting a unit from Ricambi or other...if that line fails when you are driving...it could cause major damage.

    is the hose $ 1300 !!...or that everything installed ?
