Any advice on purchasing an oil filter for my 355? I know that the factory has the purflux 197654 and that they are like $40...I have also heard these are made in France and suck. Dont mind spending the money buy would like to buy the best. Thanks

Not so much suck, more like blow when incorrectly installed. A quick google will find the best price for these filters. A profile fill in might help us suggest your options...........

If there is a proven alternative it should be listed in the sticky at the top of this section about interchangeable parts

There is no alternative that I am aware of.

Spend the $40 and get the Purflux is my advice.

Purflux, there is no alternative. Ricambi or dealers, those are your only sources. Buy a filter wrench so you can torque it correctly. It is more expensive than your typical oil filter but in this case, you just suck it up.
