I have a black 97 Spider and thinking about having my wheels painted orange. Any member on this board have different color wheels other than OEM alloy? I am very curious what my car would look like with yellow or orange wheels.

Do it with a product called plasti dip first then if you don't like it the stuff peels right off. I did my wheels flat black with it and they looked great.
Plasti dip is available in Blaze orange check out this youtube of it.

I don't know what country you are in? You need to fill out your profile to help us out.

In the US I bought the black from Home Depot for around $5 a can but they only seem to stock the black.
A quick google search turned up many retailers for the Blaze Orange from $5.99 and up.

These guys did an entire car in the Firebelly Orange Plasti Dip.

This gets me thinking... Orange 355 anyone?
I know I have seen a thread where someone photo shopped a 355 with different colors and now I can't find it... Anyone have a link?

Yes, plastidip is the way to go - no need to paint them after as the product looks great.

    Try dipyourcar.com

I have a gt3Rs not too long ago and it was black w/orange stripe and orange wheels (all OEM). A few other GT3 RS came in white and blue wheels.

Come on Dave, you're not that much of a purist are you? I wouldn't do it to my wheels either, but I'll always champion one's efforts to individualize their car.

You probably had bad thoughts about me when I put Yoshi shields on my fenders.

    Kidding brother...

I too have Yoshi shields but that is only an attempt to match factory shields.

To each his own....orange wheels, pink, or whatever. If that's what the owner likes than that's all that matters.

For me, I love my car and what Ferrari did to bring it to life, for me, no reason to mess with perfection. Just like the 430 photo posted, I don't get it coz a 430 is pretty nice how it is ;-)

Please, I beg you, for the love of God and all things pure don't do this. Any road-going 355 really doesn't need to have more attention drawn to it, especially Spiders!

I'd bet if you Plasti-dipped one wheel and mounted it you would change your mind. Hope you don't think I'm harping on you but orange on a non-Challenge 355 is just sinful in my opinion... Nero cars with stock silver rims are beautiful!! I have a 95 Nero/Tan Berlinetta with stock rims and really can't see any exterior appearance improvements possible, other than a slight drop in the suspension.

Just my puny opinion... You should do what you like because it's your car and the most important thing about Ferrari ownership is that the car makes you happy, but as an artist I think it will look a bit silly especially on a Spider that has no real racing potential.

I would be happy to Photoshop orange rims onto a nice photo of a car similar to yours so you can get a real idea of what it will look like. It would take me about 2 minutes, so find yourself a nice shot and post it. :)
