Many a Countach suffered holes in the bodywork by drill-happy installers for these cute little devices that are now obsolete. A more sympathetic method of application was where the aerial was glued to the small quarter-window allowing removal without trace or substantial repair when no longer desired.

Awesome images, thanks for sharing, the 25th is ageing very well indeed!

Next time you are close to this historic example, please afford us images of the VIN on the steering column and windows if possible.

Hey guys, is there any power output difference between US & Euro spec cars? Eg. Injection/cat? vs Carb

How about maintenance & driving experience between the two? Thanks!

Power is rated at 420 bhp for the USA fuelie cars versus 455 for the Eu carb cars.

Maintenance will always be less with the fuelie cars and they stay in tune once set up unlike a carb car.

Note that most people with fuelie cars are dumping the cats these days.

Driving experinece is similar although I find that the fuelie cars have more instant throttle response with smooth delivery throughout the rev range.

I know that's the facts as of right now but I keep wondering if the crank change you pointed out some time back:

    http://www.ferrarichat.com/forum/142013112-post198.html

has some role to play here with those USA bhp numbers....

    455hp with carb.
    420hp with FI and cats.
I wonder if by taking out the cats the car will gain back the lost 35hp ? Or just partial gain ?
My LM has the same engine output specs. 455hp with carb and 420hp with FI and cats, but when I got the car there are no cats. I hope the car is already 455 hp now.

It's not the 35 extra HP that make the difference, it's the power band - when the secondary jets from the 6 downdrafts kick in at a little over 4,500 rpm it's very brutal - actually feels faster than a Diablo .... and the sound …. The difference between the sidedraft motors and the newer generation downdraft is remarkable – hard to believe it’s the same powerplant! I have driven every CT variant and the QV carbed no cat motor with an Ansa is by far the most exhilarating motor experience IMO..........
