Considering moving up from 360 to 430. It seems the Ferrari dealers, both Lake Forest and Continental no longer do PPIs. Euroquipe no longer has a Ferrari tech. There is Giovanni at Auto Sprint in Chicago, but I believe his area of expertise is more vintage cars. Who is left that is trustworthy and knowledgeable to do PPIs on late model Ferraris? EDIT: Found out that Auto Sprint does PPI on 430s at a cost of $600 if brought to the shop, more if he has to travel. Does that seem reasonable?
I paid $300 to do a PPI at Lamborghini dealer in socal a few months ago, so I think $600 is to much. but if that's the only place that offers it then I would take it. But on another note, I sent you a PM
If the car is local the seller pays for PPI LFSC and Continental will do it. Just work it out with the seller.
That's what they will tell the buyer. Ask your seller to call lfsc and ask for a inspection. They will charge 300 and get him a report. I just did one for my car few weeks ago.
Will they do that if the seller is another dealer (non-Ferrari dealer)? $300 is reasonable. I thought $600 was quite high and did not include compression testing. Interestingly enough, 3 different techs have told me they do not routinely recommend compression testing on 360s or 430s with low miles unless they detect a problem otherwise (performance, smoke, running rough, etc.)

Why won't they do this [PPI] for the buyer? I think that a PPI for the seller may be, dare I say, less objective. Joe
I believe they consider it a liability issue. I would imagine there have been some lawsuits over missed defects that has made them reconsider. Agreed on the possible impression of the inspection being skewed in favor of the seller. Just found this. And I'd love be able to provide my insurance agent my driving record or my grad school my transcripts. Nothing like a little "cut & paste" and white out to improve my rates or GPA. IMHO Joe
