Interested to see what happens at Pebble with such a high number of GTC's going under the hammer.

They seem to have slowed in recent months with a non sale at Newport Beach and a number of dealers marketing them for a few months now.

    Have they reached their ceiling??

I know of three so far for the MRY/PB auctions. Is that "a lot" or "lots"?

    Bonhams x 2
    Gooding x 2
    RM x2

I think it's a lot for 3 days of auctions

So what does this mean the fact that there will be 6 on offer at the Pebble sales? Most owners have $50-$220K in their 330 GTC unless the cars were bought more recently. There could be lot's of reasons why the cars are being sold, but I can see certain owners wanting to cash out due to the current valuations and move the cash into other acquisitions.

N=6 should provide better-than-usual visibility on GTC pricing. Although, ironically that is <1% of cars produced, right, so actually _fewer_ cars proportionately than many others on the block...

Better than usual visibility I would agree with.

Consider that there are also a number of GTC publicly advertised today also.

There are a few GTB's for sale but very few are being openly advertised.

The prices to appear to be all over the place for these at the moment in my opinion.

With so many cars coming up for sale in the same week, and several well-publicized cars remaining for sale for an extended period at highly-visible dealers at this time, I would expect to see some no-sales (in the case of owners whose expectations may have been set too high), and then some more realistic results (for owners who are willing to let go at a real market price).

And Edward is one of those highly visible dealers.
How coincidentally quaint to start a thread like this when he is looking to buy such a GTC ...

If memory serves, a few years ago they sold 6 275 GTBs the same week in Monterey. Different car, different market, but "6" is not an unheard-of number of examples. Also consider there are probably 50-75% more cars being offered for sale in Monterey when compared to a few years ago.

I am indeed looking to buy one and I am interested to see if people feel the market will move on for these at Pebble or perhaps slow.

Extreme restoration apparently. I wouldn't own just because of color (fly yellow?) but to each his own. Certainly a very strong price; world record?

Curious if anyone knows what country the Gooding GTC at $946k went to?
That's a shocking number compared to the others.

I understand it was nicely restored, but $500k buys a LOT of nice.

One of the cars was RHD #12601. See here: Ferrari 365 GTC - For Sale At Talacrest

I do not know the prices and don't have details of the other car. It hadn't yet been placed on Talacrest's web site before being sold.

I thought 10105 was well bought at the Quail.
It seems like a very nice car, numbers matching, nice original colors, tools & books, Borranis & Chromadoras, good history.

    Good for Fantasy Junction.

I agree, was probably the buy of the weekend vs it's comparisons.
