Am I alone in thinking that chrome wheels look so wrong on these old race cars ?

I wish people would realize that over restoration is not perfection.

The seats in Marcel's pic in post #4 do not appear in the pic in post #2. I'd guess that they are just temporarily installed for whatever driving event the car is participating in at the time.

What is the message of the Classiche badge? Looks awful on what is supposed to be a genuine car.

The Classiche Tee Shirts have the same problem as the lettering only goes across the breasts on fake ones. On real ones the logo is above the breast line.

    Hello Guys,

I'm looking at some 250 swb.

I don't understand what the sefac is.
At some websites, I find sefac as a factory that made the cars from 1960 till 1965
Sociata esercizio fabbriche automobili e corse (sefac s

Others speak from a competition car called sefac?

Last time, i have seen a 250 swb semi competition.
Is that a Sefac car? Or is it something else?
    Vin number was 2639GT

SEFAC is the official abbreviation of Società Esercizio Fabbriche Automobili e Corse which is nothing else than the Ferrari factory in Maranello.

A number of (about 20) super lightweight competition 250 GT SWB Berlinettas built in 1961 (only) were unofficially named "SEFAC Hot Rods". This is not a factory designation.

2639 GT is not one of these and is not a so-called "Sefac Hot Rod" competition car. It is a road car with some special features such as steel body with alloy doors, hood and trunk lid, wrinkle finish comp style dashboard, larger 40 DCL 6 Weber carbs, outside fuel filler cap and alloy ribbed gearbox. It has been perfectly restored by MPI Motion Products in 2014/2015 and subsequently won a series of big trophies at various shows incl. Concorso Italiano, FCA Nationals and Cavallino Classic. In March 2012 it has been factory certified (red book).

2639 GT was built by Ferrari in Maranello (legal name at the time Sefac SpA).
