That's what we were told about the race car - it came overseas for this event and there was some deliberation whether to display it at LFSC with Senna's or Andretti's name on it. ...they choose the latter. We got there pretty much before anyone else and it was an unreal feeling having 'quiet time' with this car knowing it's history and knowing who looked out of it's sliver of a windscreen. Minor road-rash below the 'Shell' from that era is still on the car. Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
Not sure if I posted this pic before, which I found here ..:: Lindsey Automotive ::... This is the F1 that lives in Louisiana... Image Unavailable, Please Login
That's a fairly old photo of #036. In mid-2007 it had the HID headlight upgrade done and that changes the shape of the lamps inside, and also swaps the position of the low and high beams. >8^) ER Image Unavailable, Please Login
I love #036's color...my favorite road car. Not sure where he went, but fchatter Richard from Louisiana took some great shots of that car.
Richard is out in LA now pursuing a career with professional photography and videography. He was part of this recent project: http://www.ferrarichat.com/forum/288gto-f40-f50-enzo-laferrari/407600-painted-turtle-loves-your-supercar.html >8^) ER
Nice garage! Looks familiar. Hope the people out in LA find out about his talent and he makes a big career out of it. He should have a lot more opportunities in that LA than his home-state LA (Louisiana).

Hello All, I recently went to a Columbus Cars & Coffee party at Team Rahal and saw this F1 in the lobby. I hope you enjoy these pictures. Might be a repost. The mule. http://chivethethrottle.files.wordpress.com/2013/07/ppt-07_16_13-920-3.jpg
Saw that one the other day - quite a cool shot of GTR 14R which belongs to Adrian Newey. It didn't participate at the Festival of Speed but was captured by a few lucky folks who happened to track it down in some of the parking areas. >8^) ER
That's 'Edward' the second of two Ultima GTR based mules that McLaren built prior to building the Experimental Prototypes. This one was the first to be fitted with the S70/2 V12 engine from BMW Motorsport. There's a chapter on these two cars in "Driving Ambition" called 'Heavenly Twins' that is a good read. There's also a page on Ultima's own website that is dedicated to them and the role they played in the development of the F1. >8^) ER
Does anyone have a list of chassis numbers broken down by year? The only list I can find now is of the GTRs, but I used to have a full list
Would it be the one that recently made news in Japan? I believe Erik predicted a couple pages it could sell for over $5M seeing as it was advertised as an essentially "new" F1.
No - not the yellow one from Japan. That one seems to have been being used as bait and nothing more. Maybe $10M could buy that one but I don't even have much confidence in that. There's actually one more standard car I am aware of that has definitely eclipsed the $9M USD figure. Also a friend who visited the factory not long ago was shown another road car which was said to have recently sold for $13M. I'm not going to suggest that things are getting crazy, but fundamentally these are very interesting times. >8^) ER
Well, it belongs in rare air. Don't know if it will get to GTO territory, but those things will command 8 figures soon.
I don't think it will get to GTO territory as the GTO has about 30 years and an arguably more desirable badge on it, but no doubt 8 figures will arrive. One thing I am very curious about is if the prices for the race cars that are converted to road use will ever eclipse the road cars. I believe historically this hasn't been the case but I would say those cars are the closest thing to a modern 250 GTO.
I think that may differ on each individual car, who owned it previously, who raced in it, what races it was entered/won
