Dealer told me my new FF 2014, has arrived at the port in New Jersey on June 24th . FNA tells them it is still awaiting customs ever since. Still not one word about actual delivery. Is this normal? When do you guys think I will hear? Dealer is a bit too standoffish for my liking. I feel like I'm annoying them when I check...anyone know of a way to check on this?
The Ferrari site shows my car is in the exact same status since November 29, 2013, so is therefore a joke in itself.thanks guys...this is my first new Ferrari and I'm really trying to enjoy this experience but this makes it very hard to do so.

Your dealer should be helping but when it hits the east coast you NEVER can tell how long it will take, and the dealer really doesn't know either.

Next F car have it flown over, they go to the head of the line at customs, passing anything else waiting and you get the car well before the title or much of anything else. For now just understand it is on the way. Listen to your click it is saying TICK ...... .......... ....TOCK ........... ............... .....................................................TICK :D you get it and ENJOY the FF, it is the best car EVER. Drive it like it is a rental car!

    thanks Rick.

actually dealer just told me she is now at FNA waiting for a truck!

also- just connected with Todd Cooperider. Based on your recommendation I am flying him in to do a two pay paint correction later this month.

WE were talking about your 176mph video. I said it made me even more anxious!! awesome thanks,

    Regards from South Florida.

Now there are one too many Ricks hanging out here :D.

You are REALLY close now! Last time my dealer told me that I think it was only a couple days and I was driving her home.

Be sure to have Todd do the 22PLE on her too. Unless you like waxing it yourself every month or two? So far the 22PLE on my 2012 California has lasted almost two years and is still like new! My FF paint was not nearly as bad as both of my Californias were, they were really swirled up bad. I was at Studio 47 a couple weeks ago and asked Todd to look her over to see if I was doing the right stuff and after 9 months it is still swirl free. Once you get his work done try to not towel dry it any more! The deionized water systems allow you to wash it without needing to dry it, or blow it off with an electric leaf blower. The 22PLE is very slippery and makes blow drying very easy and quick.

My FF uses a quart of oil about every 6,000 miles so if you drive yours regularly I'd check it after you get 6K on her, half way to an oil change.

Enjoy it and be very sure to post some pictures, both exterior & interior & you huge smile too!

    Rick

Thanks guys. Yes I'm getting the 22PLE and the full service from Todd.

I'm hoping to hear anyway now that the car is actually on a truck headed here from FNA.

I will post pictures while Todd is here working on the car.

Car arrived last wednesday while I was at the dealer purchasing. The horseless carriage pulled up and out she came along with some sibling. A white spider, black F12. Then my Tour de France MY 2014 FF. captured the off load on my iPhone. I am in serious love.

TODD Cooperider is flying in tomorrow night and he and an associate will be working on the car and taking photos.

My car was over two months late per the dealer. When i put the 20k down i was told I was in slot for an April build/May delivery. Turned out to be a May build/ mid July delivery but it is marked as a 2014MY which is awesome. The Factory never really updated them or me throughout the entire process which is a bit unnerving. Nevertheless the wait is over and the experience of brand new Ferrari ownership is like nothing else I've ever experience. I am beyond excited and happy. I will post pics as soon as I learn how to.

Congrats! I love TDF! So how long did it take from FNA to get to the dealer? Sounds like it was a little bit. My 458 spider is at FNA currently...

Arrived at port on June 24th. Evidently a random customs inspection delayed it leaving to FNA. CAR was on a truck after one or two days at FNA. Left via truck headed for south Florida Friday am, arrived the following Wednesday around 6 pm. Terrible waiting but well worth it! Hope yours is easier!

I am here, live and on location! We started the paint correction process yesterday, and will finish today and end it with the brilliant and durable 22PLE application.

I'll be sure to post up some photos once I return home to the office.

Thanks for having me down, Rick!
