There's no worse feeling than your baby being damaged :(

Not only are you upset - incoming hassle, time, expense and of course time without car.

Anyone had any bumps and bruises whether other drivers or just a simple mistake while pulling out of a driveway etc.

I have had someone back into my 430 but was fortunate with 360 and thus far 458 not to have any contact. However, no matter and irrespective of being able to afford to replace the entire car as well as owning several other "nice" cars, I seem to "worry" more about the Ferrari when driving/parking. Not enough to stop me from driving it whenever I can, but still something about it keeps me focused. Best

It is a car, if you use it in the real world, things would happen to it, get over it.

If you can't get over it, bubble wrap it and leave it in the garage, never drive it. It is the only way to avoid damages.

Jeff you are right. It is expensive if you do not have collision like me.

I had a 5 inch scratch on my 568 that cost $7k to fix and that was my cheapest option. aliminum cars are expensive.

I want to but a air buble around all my cars :).

You have to be careful .. and philosophical. I am most concerned about drivers who feel the need to "flirt" on the road, sometimes with ponderous SUVs or pick up trucks, or something like a Nissan Versa. I give them a wide berth and either let them play though or leave the scene quickly. I am also concerned about inattentive young girls driving in traffic chatting on their phones, or worse. I try not to position myself so that one is behind me when a red light comes up.

At the end of the day it is a percentage play, like combat if you have ever experienced it. You can do some things to lower your odds. But that is all you can do.

Why you don't have collision coverage? To lower premium?

The driver does not care. S/he drives and park a 458 in Paris, that's born to happen.
And to top it off s/he parked on the crosswalk.
Noboby who drives in Paris expect to get intact at the end of the day.
I know what I am talking about I learned to drive there.

Jeff my experience with collison when I had it was not good. My wife went through a series of small accidents. The insurance company fixed the damage, then raised her rate to retrieve the money spent on repairs in three years plus 5%.

So I consider myself "self insured" I do carry, fire, theft and Liability.

I think this is the best way when you own as many cars as I do.

I have also noticed there are hugh cost differences in Insurance companies. I rebid my insurance every 2-3 years.

    Best
