Hi All, We started searching for a Ferrari to replace our Porsche 911 Millennium a while back. Initially, we thought we would get a GT car and looked at the 612s. We also had some wonderful feedback from a local fchatter who has put some considerable miles in a couple of 612s. It was great to get detailed pros and cons about the model from him and I thank him profusely for taking time to educate a potential buyer. However, we came to the conclusion that the 612 was too "GT"ish for us and we wanted something more "sporty" like the F430. These monikers are just our impression after driving the cars in question. We asked FoS to track down a TdF F430 with cuoio interior. They were wonderful and managed to track down a 1 owner local car. We bought the car last weekend. It is a 2005 F430 coupe with CCBs. It is awesome to drive and we hope to keep it in the household for a long time. Suddenly everyone in the household seems to volunteer for a trip to the garage to get peek at the car to make sure that it is still parked there. We have already put about 200 miles on it and it is very exciting to drive. It will be our daily driver and not a garage queen. I will post pictures this weekend. Hope to meet fellow F car owners and learn more about them.

Welcome and congratulations on your new Ferrari! Come join the excitement of driving along on an FCA event; there is an upcoming trip to Harrison Hot Springs and another to Victoria. Please consider signing up, it would be fun to drive together!
Thanks for the welcome. I intend to join the FCA club and participate in some events. I "attended" the dyno day last year when we started looking for a Ferrari and my son and I had a wonderful time there talking to folks and seeing the cars on the dyno. I would prefer to put some miles on it before thinking about a driving trip on a "new" car. FoS has a driving experience day in Sept which is really tempting. I think a track experience would be wonderful introduction to the car's performance and maybe I'll get hooked. I regret that I never took our Porsche to the track for the 12 years we enjoyed it. Cheers, Jay.
Jay, Since you will be joining, you are welcome to test your car at the club's Dyno Day event on Saturday, August 3rd. Just let me know and I'll put you on the list. Gary
