co not believe SF has much of a chance to get their 17th WCC this year so they do not need to worry about it just yet. that's what I meant. Maybe they could name it 16M.2
Rear bumper and side skirts look much more angular and aggressive, love the new exhaust exits. This car will be amazing and the new sport wheels look extremely purposeful.
Awesome spot, thanks for sharing. Whew, these pics really clear a few things up! Looking at these pics I think we can confirm that the car will have 614HP, a dry weight of 3073 lbs, ride on newly develop and uniquely sized 313/29-21 tires in the rear. Oh, and the tachometer now goes to 11,568 max rpm on the dial. (And they added blue as a background color option for the tach) I think we just figured it all out and can skip the official unveiling ;-)
Hoping they finally fix the warts on the 458's styling, esp front end. Side skirts would be a wonderful addition!
We saw the car again today. I tried to make some shots of the wheels. But the only thing I can read is that they are Michelin tyres. Size is unreadable but does not seem different than a 458 Italia. Although I have to say that for the past 10 years of seeing different prototypes I almost never (575M Maranello was the exception) saw a prototype with the final rim and tyres.
Thank you for sharing again! Were you able to tell if it is 5 small bolts or 1 huge nut on the wheel?
I lightened up the pic of the rear. Check out the new diffuser: http://farm6.staticflickr.com/5444/9366141111_125403fab5_o.jpg
Is fun to see how they still try to fake the old triple exhaust cut out, pretending it is still there.
Yes totally different diffuser and rear bumper, completely different shape: Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
Good shots for comparison... thanks. Yes, they seem different esp in the center section. We will see if it is better. The existing 458 is beautifully integrated there.
Good point, but that F1 light is small and the taped up rectangular protrusion is the exact size and location as the old triple exhaust outlet, looks like they are trying to create an illusion that this is still the same looking bumper as before. Image Unavailable, Please Login
You are welcome, this is fun for me. I take it back, now that I am looking at F12, they are not trying to fake the old exhaust, maybe they are hiding the newly sculptured center section similar to the F12. Maybe it would be all black out like this Oakley Design F12. Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
It seems vents for the front wheels are much more pronounced and lengthy. It appears vents starting earlier, immediately over each front lights exterior edge. Maybe this way they will improve the cooling balance between right and left front wheels.
It's hard to tell. To me it looks like the housing extends up farther than the old triple exhaust opening.
I think we all know now that this car is a sure thing - However just to clarify further, I received a phone call from Ferrari yesterday inviting me to a private viewing of this car just before they unveil it in Frankfurt. Good Times!
