Why can't I find any pics of LF with the engine hood opened? It can't be opened?

Cool to see a recent video, thanks! Would have loved to see it hotlapping, though. Anyway it's been nearly 4 months since the presentation and there's so little new info/pics/vids out there... I'm still waiting for the actual WEIGHT of the LF.

I think so too is Ferrari! Don't believe there is still an actual completed production car yet.

You're probably absolutely right :D I bet your LM will be finished way before the LF takes the streets (and I'm hoping this will be soon).

That indeed may, just, be possible!

I think Mclaren panicked Ferrari by presenting at Geneva and left them with no alternative but to respond and now they have to live up to their own hype and figures.

I wonder what is the purpose of being able to open just the window? Seems like the extra hinges and hydraulics are just added weight.

Then again, who cares about weight when you loaded the whole thing down with batteries!!

The Hot Wheels version will be out before the actual car.

Why they are taking so long if they showed already the car at Geneva? Was this not a production equal car? I understand that they need to fine tune many things but they announce to the public so much performance information and details like weight. Are those numbers they tell us target goals that they right now find difficult for achieving?

Because they were forced by Mclaren to declare their hand early and amazingly just managed to better Mclaren's figures in every respect, so yes, I think they are now having to live up to their own hype. This story has legs.

Not sure that Mclaren's done yet either. I'm hearing they're turning up the wick to 1000hp petrol + KERS.

They're also gathering a lot of data testing at the Ring.

IMO P1 will be VERY fast around the Ring.

P1 has a lot more downforce than LaFerrari.

The P1 with it's reported downforce and if it increase its HP to 1000HP+KERS, the LF will have a tough act to follow.

Yes. I just watched a TopGear where they were saying the MP4-12C Spider is fast than the 458 Spider.... but even the Brits admitted they'd still rather buy the Ferrari.

The P1 and the 12C are different cars. Just a reminder.

And their personal preference doesn't change the fact that the 12C is a better and faster car than the 458.

Thank you for your (biased) opinion.
Almost 90% of the press says exactly the contrary
it's enough to see the awards gained by the 458.
And Autozine resume very well the facts

    McLaren MP4-12C

In the last Autobild comparo the 458 spider defetead clearly the MP4-12C Spider and it was a customer 458 spider vs a press MP4-12C.

    Cheers Luque

All those busy graphics bring out the basic 458 form.

No Luque, I regret to inform you that, from information of my 2 bible website for factual car information, guideautoweb and askmen, these profesionals contradict your opinion. Autobild so often influenced by our food and wine and woman, I know this regretfuly to be true. With askmen.com you must see page 2 but it hurts my heart also.

They also said the 458 was lighter than the 12C and that the R8 had better fuel economy.

Pretty much everything they say is nonsense nowadays.
