Definitely that 250 Europa Vignale. That car is stunning.

Easy decision - Id be happy to take em all! Its like meeting 10 Miss Universe contestants all in swimwear. Impossible to pick one- they are all amazing.

    RM catalogue (Lot 242):
"....2461 is celebrated one of the most important Birdcages in existence with the most distinguished competition record of all...."

What a wonderful description of a car that got a new chassis, a new body, a new tank, new instruments and new rear suspension hubs!

    I love Auction houses.......

Important does not mean original...and on the list there are also 2 750 Monza and I would assume they should be more expensive than the 500 Series 1 PF, non matching.

Love the 1953 Ferrari 375 MM, but it is beyond my reach.

I would take the 275 NART spyder. Why - this would be a car I could actually take out and drive a bit. All of the others are either museum pieces or vintage racers that you need mega-bucks to take out (and risk) on the track.

Considering I've been fortunate enough to drive two of the ten, the NART Spyder on the Rockingham roval with Eddie at an FCA event in the Nineties and the 500 Mondial from Cremona through the gates of the factory at Maranello after the Mille Miglia Storica in 1989, that's a pretty amazing list! Those days you count as blessings...

I think the 375MM would be my choice and yes, I would RACE it! <grin>

NART-by a wide margin...1 owner has turned down 20M USD earlier this year...
    375MM

S1 Mondials are much more desirable than are Monzas-which are pretty much the same as S2 Mondials-don't understand why, but the money has spoken repeatedly as such...

they rest of the field at the rear..based one whose "money is in the room"...

the question was based on money, and NOTHING else....

I would like to know the scale of the task in trying to retrieve that original motor for that beautiful 375 at the bottom of the bay, if for nothing more than display purposes.

A quick look on google earth shows a massive area to cover. It would certainly keep the new owner busy if he/she wanted a challenge!

Ok fine. You guys can have the 250 Europa Vignale and the 375MM.

    I'll take the N.A.R.T. Spdyer

You would need $80m +/- to buy them all.

I fell in love with the TDF and the D-Type. I love the Nart Spyder but i just dont see it as a 17M car. That's California+ 250 SWB money.

I helped the owner squeeze his roof frame into place which took some doing and the possible loss of fingers.
No one warned me how much it was worth!
Would a RHD car be worth more?

It has a replacement tipo 61 engine as well but to their credit RM do disclose all in their description of the continuous history.

VERY FEW parts from 2461 are still in the car for sale at the auction.

What you see in Pebble is not the car that won any of the RM-listed races!
The real #2461 is NOT existing anymore! ...e basta!

RM auction is not in Pebble Beach. It is in Monterey.
    Gooding is in Pebble Beach.

I always like the Gooding's auctions best. First class all the way.

That's a great list of cars. I'd take the 540K, no question.
