Right on Alonso's tail -- with a broken front wing -- with Ham, Vettel, and Grosjean walking away from him, until Alonso's slow pace pushed them both back into Kimi's clutches. Look at Alonso holding up Massa at turn one.

    But did I mention Massa?
Leaving the broken front wing on cost more than changing it would have.
    Another bad pit wall decision.

How many cars that finished ahead of Alonso started behind him?
Wasn't all the gushing about Alonso over his ability to use an inferior car?
Now the car is the excuse?

I remind you that Kimi is in the car Alonso walked away from.
(The car Alonso could only win with by tossing his teammate into the wall in Singapore.)

    Hamilton won. Superior car?
Both Alonso and Massa passed Rosberg on lap one.
Did anyone else notice Rosberg sitting on Massa's tail for ten laps before his engine cooked?
(Anyone remember Mercedes telling Ham not to sit on Vettel's tail too long?)
Ten laps, Massa with a broken wing, and Rosberg couldn't get around Massa with a "superior car"?

Ham and Vettel started ahead of Alonso. Kimi and Webber started behind him, and Kimi lost several other spots at the start.

    This isn't about Massa.
It was clear when Alonso was hired that he doesn't work and play well with teammates.

Remember the talk about abandoning the WCC to get WDCs?

Remind me how many championships Alonso has delivered to Ferrari?

How many times has Alonso failed to deliver, right at the end?
(Fuel injected cars apparently still have a "choke".)

How many years did Ferrari go without a championship before Alonso came on board?
They had Dominicali and Massa before Alonso joined.
But when did the championships stop?

Maybe it's not Dominicali and Massa that's the problem.

If all you want from Alonso is to beat his teammate, then you should be happy they don't get someone to replace Massa.
Someone who might tell them to stuff their team orders.

But go ahead and fling personal attacks. Popular way to avoid things you don't want to see.

FA could receive a post-race penalty after it emerged that his DRS was activated three times illegally when he was more than one second behind another car.

Nice job by hammy...vettel and Grosjean could have won with a little bit of luck...Ferrari sucked today. Massive changes need to come to this team, starting with dumbenicali and massa being shown the door IMHO.

Just remembered that stellar pass that Hamilton pulled on Kimi as he was being held up by Alonso. Perfect example of execution and timing.

Grosjean went a little crazy with the Massa pass which would have sent him into the barrier on any other course.

Awesome seeing Kimi hold off the German.

Hammy had them covered with a wet blanket today. He wiped them all up.

Actually I felt that was a fairly clean overtake. Plus how many tracks have the barrier right at the edge of the track? 2 wheels on 2 wheels off. Clean pass in my book.

The pass on button on the other hand was wild and dangerous.

Rosberg was passing Massa on the outside, turning in like there is no one there. There is a reason why Massa didn't get penalized and the situation wasn't even under investigation, since Rosberg was punished enough by the consequences.

So where's the evidence to prove that had Kimi stayed at Ferrari, he would have done better than Alonso?

His Lotus form? - Oh yeah!, if a driver's fast in one car then he'd be just as fast in any other car!

    Huh?

Rosberg was ahead by a car length, it was his corner. Massa tried to put the nose where it shouldn't have been and slammed into Nico's right REAR tire. That's how far back he was.

Fernando Alonso +31.4 Felipe Massa +56.4

Yeah, right on his tail...a mere 25 seconds behind.

It's not a personal attack, it's simply reality - this post says more about you than I ever could. I got a headache trying to read it and to call it delusional doesn't do it justice.

    BTW -

Remind me how many championships Raikkonen has delivered to Lotus?
Remind me where Raikkonen finished relative to Alonso last year?
Remind me if Massa has ever beaten Alonso? Has he ever come close (within even 100 points?) - although I'm sure there's a conspiracy or 2 to explain this one :D

Using your logic, everyone but Vettel must be complete crap because he has smoked everyone 3 times in a row going on 4. Everyone knows that drawing conclusions on the performance of different drivers doesn't make sense if they are in different cars.

This is F1 101. Learn something or stop posting.

Did you forget: 30 seconds are meaningless in F1.

    At least to Massa supporters.

Last year I confidently predicted that Perez would win a race for McLaren before Hammy would win a race for Mercedes-Benz.

    I was wrong.

Congrats to Lewis and the MBz crew. Well done.

Rosberg was in the process of overtaking Massa. Massa was on the racing line. Why Rosberg assumed Massa would have gone up into thin air, we will never know. But he has those brainfades once in a while.

Before the race I was reading how Hamilton made statements that he couldn't win, was still blaming the tires for everything (despite Rossberg winning two races on the same tires in the same car), blah blah blah.

But now after the race, I've very happy to see him win, and maybe it's just taken MB half a season to really figure out what they are doing with the car set up. Or maybe that and a new to the team driver, even a former world champ like Hamilton takes time to settle into an entirely different team.

Great to see two different teams ahead of RB today, with better luck for Lettuce and Rossberg maybe RB would have been down in 5th and 6th, or maybe lower if Ferrari had a better day.

Key Takeaway from today's race....Vettel is on his way to WDC #4
As long as the challengers (Kimi/Hamilton/Alonso) keep splitting the points, Seb runs away with #4

And I realize this is a Ferrari board....but how does F think they can win a championship qualifying 4th-8th and not making the podium ??

    O.K.

How about folks that would pay 4K for a cup holder will believe anything?
    ;)

Going into today's race Seb had the same lead in the standings that Alonso had at this point last season. Seb won the championship. Hence: Alonso can win this year's title.
