I would appreciate any help. I have a '07 F430 Spider. The second key is missing and I purchased a new blank from the dealer in Tampa. I have the key code and the dealer has confirmed that the code is correct with Ferrari in New Jersey. However, they report that their computer and the imobolizer in the car are not communicating and it is rejecting the key code.

    Any thoughts?

I have no idea. Seems odd. Is it possible the new key is bad or has a dead battery or something? I suppose they have your car and both keys when they try to play with it?

One new key that they can not code and one old key that works. Battery new - dealer working with downloaded instructions from Ferrari.

Wow that must be frustrating! Let us know how it goes.

My old durango would crap out every time the battery died.. it would lose the security key code and leave me stranded when it happened. Worse car I've ever owned EVER.

If our key fob batteries go dead, does that mean that we're stranded? That doesn't sound like great engineering to me! It's one thing to lose radio settings or even power window controls, but it's quite another to lose the ability to start the car! Fred

Are they trying to program it with the SD3 in "standalone" mode? If they are, it won't accept the code. It needs to be in "link to pc" mode. The SD3 will run through the whole procedure but it just won't work....

Is it possible that the code was changed sometime in the past? For example, what if a previous owner lost a key or the dealer lost the key and reprogrammed the car? My "spare" key does not work right now even though it is cut correctly and has a new battery. I was told my car was probably reprogrammed in the past, so the spare no longer works.
