New 458 Scuderia is coming

I bet for a Ferrari P4/5 hole bonnet style.

 

That's what the passenger's seat is for, or bring it on a trailer, and loaded anything else in trailer and tow truck.

I don't want trunk space, I want those vents and ducting for much necessary front downforce. I want an active rear diffuser, and aggressive rear downforce, so I don't need to buy a wing.

Let's speculate MSRP.

I'm thinking $329k in U.S. (all fees included), plus $$$ on options like carbon diffuser, carbon rocker panels, wheels, more alcantara, carbon engine lid, carbon hood.

 

+1, trunk space is a pretty low priority on a car like this.

That is a retro vent though, so it is not cool on a modern car.

+1 ... can't wait to see the beast, if they shed 200+ lb's and push the power output to 620hp it is going to be "The Car" to buy for those that can afford it (I think it is going to be ~ $350K).

 

I don't know the prices in Usa but I assure you that all the dealers in Italy don't expect more than 20 % of increase.
More likely it could be around 30/35.000 euro.When you book a slot for this car, since they still don't know the final price..they ask you to sign a conservative contract in which is described the upper limit it could
cost and this is fixed in 250.000 euro.This is including 21% Italian VAT.I hope this helps.

The base price in Europe according to my sources is just under 200,000 EUR excluding VAT. So approx 240,000 inclusive given the 20% VAT average in most countries

Then get a challenge car if trunk space is so over-rated for a road going car. cheaper too. trailer, really?

Trust me when it's gone you ppl are going to be the ones b*tchin the most...I had an lms-style vented ppi carbon hood on my R8... worst mod ever, didn't even have enough space for tack gear. And forget about packing for an atypical 2-3night track weekend.

 

I guess $330,000 in the US + any options (like rad suggested).

That said,It will be interesting to see what carbon is standard? Rear diffuser, ala 2009 scud? Front and rear bonnets in carbon would a wicked option and I hope you guys all order that! (So I can get one the way I want it in the resale market in a few years..)

Another big question is whether (and when) they have a spider version...

That's what the MSRP without options was in 2009 on the scud. You think no increase?

There is a picture posted to Ron Tonkin GT's Facebook page of the new 458 Monte Carlo saying one month away

 

This is what my dealer told me as well. I think its going be 320k nicely optioned.

 

You made a good point, I am just assuming what dealer said was right, then the base MSRP shouldn't be over $290K.

However the base MSRP on 09 F430 Scud was $281,618, so $320K base MSRP for 458 Scud should be more realistic.

Either way, a well optioned 458 Scud is in $350K range, no question on that.

I paid $315 for my spider and I considered it "well optioned" with the racing package, camera, wheels, upper and lower zones in leather, etc.

$320 as a start is pretty steep. The F12 starts at 315 and it also has a lot of standard options you pay extra for in the 458. The F12 does 0-60 in like 3.2 seconds.

To me, it should start at about 290-300 max.

 

I predict the base MSRP for the "scud" model will be 305k.

 

My guess is it will be expensive. The people who want these variants are the ones who will buy it at pretty much any cost. Might as well charge them a ton if you know they'll pay for it.
