Just watched the Senna documentary again last night on tele. He was such a thoughtful introspective man and nothing like todays sponsor driven robots (except Kimi)

The Honda tribute is particularly haunting—a very cool art piece.

Repost. Do we really need like a thread per week about Senna?

They're repetitive? They're boring? All that can be said has already been said?

The Senna movie sure has created a lot of Senna drones. Personally, I thought the Honda thing was cool but could have been much better...all that work setting it up and then you don't even show a full lap? The cool bit is only like 10 seconds long

Time to switch to decaf....Movie had nothing to do with it for a lot of us, been watching F1 since 1974, been to 20 races over the last 20 years. There was plenty of awesome F1 before Schumacher (I am a huge Schumi fan as well). I really appreciate being able to watch Clark, Lauda, Villenueve, Senna, Schumacher and Alonso.

I'm sure, but it also made tons of F1 know-nothings think he's the best ever. Not that hard to figure out.

Don't disagree, but we don't need repost Senna threads ad nauseum. The guy didn't even race for Ferrari for ****'s sake.

Watched Senna race throughout his F1 career; the more I read about him, his approach (philosophy), and driving technique, the more I get hooked. And believe me, as a Ferrari nut I suffered through those McLaren-dominant years.

I had a Japanese colleague translate the making of video—the Honda engineers used a thermograph to reveal how Senna kept the engine rpms up all the time to maintain speed through all types of corners.

+1 Their cars were far more dominant than anything Red Bull has had.

the Mp4/4 and Mp4/5 were beasts in particular.
