What's the deal with CS prices? 175 and 189 sound very high. I though I recall 1,500 mile cars selling around 150k a year or two ago. I like the color/options, but that price seems crazy.

Are any of the former owners on here? Anyone know why someone would buy the car, put 100 miles on it and then sell it? Or was it just a dealer trade?

Great cars go up - how about 959's doubling in the last 3 years, f40's selling for more then a million dollars, 400k a few years back - air cooled Porsche's going crazy, Mclaren F1's a few years ago 2-3 million, today 8-10 Million.

CS's are considered to be on the best Ferrari's in the last 20 years, they will keep going up. I think they are cheap for what you get, talking to the Ferrari service manager today "They are also one of the most reliable" His words not mine.

If what ASK328 said is true then I really screwed up by not buying a little while ago. Much better cars available for much better price. I'm glad for the current owners and for the CS if the market on them is going up. There are certainly gorgeous and great cars.

If any recent buyers would not mind chiming in, it would be interesting to get the real story. Asking prices are certainly much higher then I remember seeing last time I paid attention.

Do you know anything about the car I asked about earlier in the thread that was last sold by an SFO dealer?

CS's are proving to be more than just used Ferraris, and are showing early signs of collector quality. There has been ~10%/year increase over the last 3 years.

If you've been following the collector Ferrari market at all, it has been exploding. 275's that were under $1M a year or so ago are $1.5-$2.5M now. SWB's have doubled. There has been a recent 250 GTO sale at over $50M. McLaren F1's were sub $1M 5 years ago, are trading at $8M+.

They made less CS's then F40's. Ive noticed sometimes people have 2 of them, people love them and want to collect them, less good cars will be available as the good ones are in collections, you see them in heavy hitter collections - some owners prefer it to thier Enzo -

I think it has the making of a collectible ferrari. I never think it's going to do what say the F40 did - But I think it will slowly rise - Who knows, I really like mine and have no plans to sell her.

I did not pay $160K for mine (purchased July 2012). The dealership had 2 CS for sale at that time. The salesman mentioned that the other CS (much more desirable example than mine) went for $170K - he had no reason to lie to me (sale was done with me).
I did not see sales receipt for other car.

I paid $157k for my CS through Darren at Black Horse. It's what these things were/are going for, it was a pristine example (as verified by the Stradale Lama), low mileage (7800), with full service history, and it's in the exact configuration I wanted. Bright Ferrari red, factory stripe, all black interior, radio delete, and "handly" fire extinguisher. I now take it to Rich at Penske Wynn Ferrari to keep that fully documented service history going.

Nice picture. I just picked up mine and it's first 200km trip was from the dealer to the camp ground I'm at for a little vacation. Its certainly the nices car in the camp ground.

Stunning shot and equally stunning CS. Argento is one of my favorite colors for the car.

    Avg is $164k right now.

Autogallery listed a 4k mile car (it used to have custom speakers in door panels) yesterday for upper $150k's to only raise it to $168k today.

    Correct

As others have pointed out, CS prices have been creeping up

    Yes

Congrats and welcome to the club!!

    Hello Tony,

This CS has been for sale for quite a while already by BRM in Germany (november 2012) for €125000 (19800 km). I've been told the color is Azzurro California.

Here's the link to the registry, the VIN is 134393 (I've asked BRM for the VIN).
    Challenge-Stradale.com - Ferrari 360 CS VIN 134393

It's certainly a rare car in Azzurro California and with those lexan sliding windows.

What do all the campers (who presumably enjoy the peaceful serenity of the outdoors) make of your CS? :D

Beautiful car and (agreed) a great plate too!
