Wow! And awesome. Next year the SCCA runoffs will be at Laguna Seca. This is great for us but I am sure the right coast is going to be mad.

great venues and I'm glad they're moving it around the country instead of doing multi-year contracts in one place.

Agree with concept of moving venue around to diminish the "home field advantage". I've never raced at Laguna or Daytona, but plan to cross those off my checklist beforehand. Long tow if I go next year, but shorter the next two years.

Love Steam Corners and Daytona works well but is Laguna a good spectator venue ?

Very good. Best place to watch (imho) is the bottom of the corkscrew.

From the outside of T1 you can see the entire track EXCEPT the Corkscrew, from the top of the hill you an see most of it as well and all corners are able to been seen from up close too...its a great spectator venue.

agree, with a short walk from the top of the hill you can see 10, 11, the front stretch, all of the infield, and the corkscrew up close and personal. short hike down the hill to 9.

so basically from one spot, you can see everything except the straight under the bridge between 5 and 6 and turn 6.

    great spectator venue.

not to mention that Monterey and Carmel are great destinations.
