Video needs less music and more engine noise, though. :D

Clever design with glass roof above the driver and passenger giving them a little more head room.

Still not the biggest fan of the v8 sound track, but otherwise the car is simply awesome and styling wise years ahead of the F70 IMO.

It could be the best car in the world, but it is absolutely goofy looking! Looks like a tug boat.

Not that the LaFerr or 918 are perfect, but they're much better than this and certianly not as tacky and overwrought.

    Completely agree.

I also think the Carrera GT is much better looking than the 918.

I think the back of the P1 is nice, though the front looks like a nostrilled spade. I think the 918 looks good in the back as well, though the side seems to have borrowed a bit much from the Audi R8. The Ferrari, though not perfect seems to be the nicer design of the three.

always thought that it had a 'droopy' rear end and the canopy being too tall and long..just too BIG relative to the rest of the car..those are my biggest 'gripes'... I think you nailed it with 'tug boat'.

Drove in a 12C today. The suspension is remarkable. It just floated over potholes that kill me in the Enzo or CGT. Surprising it only did 7:28 at the Ring - slower than cars 10 years older. Maybe the suspension doesn't maintain contact like the pushrod suspension in the Enzo and CGT?

Unless P1 is a different animal, I'd be surprised to see it much below 7. I suspect LaFerrari may be well under 7 and maybe 918 breaking 7 with it's 4-wheel steering and 4WD to help overcome the weight. My guess in lap time order are...

    1. LaFerrari
    2. 918
    3. P1

P1 has 3 times the downforce, a much more dialed in 'track mode' set up, so it should be much much faster than 12C. and 250hp advantage. it's a different animal.

    From Luxury4Play here: http://www.luxury4play.com/porsche/123955-porsche-918-spyder-going-max-nuerburgring-video.html

Spike12 joined in July 2013 and he has only got one post which is this one and was posted in July 29. He definitely knows something that we don't.

Based on the spy videos of the P1 and the 918 on the Ring, they were going exactly at the same speed. If the 918's 6:35 claim is true, then McLaren are really targeting a 6:33.26. McLaren said that it was included in a mood board for the design team, but they included every single picture except for that specific one when they released their new website.
