    For the most part, I'm not into US made cars, of course there are exceptions...

    Here's one.

    Im interested in something between these two, not stock, don't care about numbers matching, and actually would prefer a modern vette engine and trans hooked in, but not radical either. I think this would be a nice daily driver and a compliment to our Mondial

    Another option but closer to stock. Personally I'd prefer more performance and to fill up the wheel well. This is the only vette years I like.

    I'll do that.. I've got an hour more of browsing before bed.

    On your other point.. I disagree. I met you and I doubt ole Dave can top that ;)

    Edit... Point 1 you're a bit off as well... 109k??? And bone stock?? No no no. That's 60k too much and not what I had in mind. A nice resto mod 60-62 in around 50k tops, preferably 40's.

    I love vettes and the other pointy cars are nice, but if I owned a hammer factory, I'd be driving a Jeep Forward Control... just sayin'.

    Along this line, I've had my eye on an AMC Eagle. Basically the old Hornet wagon, 4X4 with the 258 6 cyl. I'd have to convert it over to the newer 4.0 fuel injected engine and hop it up a bit but I think that would be a great winter and airport shuttle vehicle.

    but but but... i dont want a restored numbers matching forceable rape... a nice 60-62, maybe had a little oops and with some issues that someone decided it was better to resto mod. point it, thats a sexy car!

    OK, first the original version, simple, pure. Then the factory put a 4X4 chasis under it, I'll hop up the engine a bit to get it to the HP of a late Mondial and you have a great little winter car. The original Hornet was designed in the late 60's early 70's, certainly sold early 70's. The eagle version was into the 80's. I'd probably skip on the wood grain and hubcaps. The Jeep engine should be a direct bolt in. Grab an old Cherokee donor and you have a hotrod for about $4000 if you can do the work yourself :D

    Simulated wood grain is a must. Dirk: You should do this, you could pull it off.

    My next project will be a Lada Niva in "Cossack" trim. I'm 5 hours from Montréal and there are still a few Nivas in QC. Project delayed until barn is built, and I've also just splashed out on a CNC router... so it will be awhile yet.

    Oh i also love the Lada... not domestic but i'll let you slide. The Lada and the Fiat 131 are both on fav list. I like boxy cars.

    Charles that Powerwagon would have been great this past winter.

    Ted, the Brava Abarth 131 is awesome. Looking at the regular 131 its hard to imagine you could sex it up so well.

    I have a 2003, however I may be selling it after I get the jeep unlimited. The Disco is too nice for what I want the jeep for.

    I drove a brava for a bit in high school, loved it. Geared so nicely for tearing around small towns. They are just too hard to come by though. I've already rebuilt a Fiat 850 so at those parts prices I'll keep plugging away at my Ferrari.

    Sadly, by todays standards that Brava was probably in great condition. It was pushed into a hole and covered with dirt. Might still be there :D I think due to a brake master cyl that was shot. The late 80's were a different time for late 70's and early 80's Fiats.
