( referencing post #1853) Not picking anything apart here, I have "goldish" colored calipers on my car, is there a correct color for them? Calipers are a common rebuildable part and often customized, just curious if there was a "standard" color?
Funny in these last few photos how the other cars, in particular those Mini's, make the Countach look so small! You don't often see the Countach from such an angle and you can really see how the cars hips flare out into a sexy rear!
Hahaha, now that I go back and look again, the two Countachs look like go-carts in comparison to the other cars. Hmm, there have been other photos of the Countach that give a strange illusion of its size. Maybe there is a lens effect being used in the photo. Still a very cool photo.
Peter a telephoto lens is being used and it reduces perspective increasing the rear width of the car as in this image Image Unavailable, Please Login
This image of 12960 was taken from an upstairs window of the owner's house and it doesn't look as if a telephoto lens was used. But it shows how the square-shouldered lines of the previous Countach have been smoothed out. Image Unavailable, Please Login
Strakes are the air-intake design theme on the factory's Countach 25th, and on it's Miura SV. Both imaged on display in London. Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
I was looking at a Rosso Perlato FI Anni at Motorcars Int. a few years back and was told it was 1 of 4 built. I don't have confirmation on that though.
This car. I think there were more than 4 built for the USA. But what do I know? Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
25th built April 1989 with sports seats and French-spec driving lamps showing 16,000km for sale in Italy. Also Rosso Perlato. Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
Perhaps 3 for Canada? I know it was thought that there were just 3 in the UK alone but this was disproved earlier in the thread and the conclusion was @ twice that number.
I still remember (I think it was Tony's photo) the photo of the S1 next to a Rolls Phantom. Looked like a pedal car. A masterpiece of packaging. John
